The Thinks I Think: March 2013
http://krissysthinks.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 16, 2013. One thing I love about Wade is that he is not a quitter. I, on the other hand, tend to be a quitter so he is a good compliment for me. Several weeks ago in the middle of the night he woke me up when he was talking in his sleep. He very audibly and quite emphatically said right to my face, "Don't quit.EVER! First, we tried the trunk. Then we tried the side. Uh, Dad, we bought a tv that's so big it won't fit in my car." Ha, right. We conquered that tv. Saturday, March 16, 2013.

The Thinks I Think: February 2012
http://krissysthinks.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 24, 2012. Today was a great day. It's always a great day when I start it off with a run with a good friends. Since I've been living in Fayetteville, I have only been running on a treadmill because I would probably lose my life if I went alone outside. SO, I was so happy when my friend Anjuli was able to go with me today. Were going through his head. I've been pondering all day how one could end up naked in a park without knowing why or how. Baffling. Friday, February 24, 2012.

Live the Dream: January 2015
http://theycallmelou.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 4, 2015. As a child, I was somewhat obsessed with fairness. I wanted a fair. World, where good was always rewarded and bad was always punished. It was all so simple to me back then: Everyone should get the same amount of dessert, have the same bedtime, and get to do the same fun things (spoken like a true second child). Always following my complaints about some type of unfairness, I would inevitably hear my dad's calm voice echoing the oft-said phrase, "Life's not fair, Melissa.". Respons...

Wednesday, December 12, 2012. Kids are So Dang Funny. I promised that my next post would include our phenomenal. From my class. Don't worry- they wrote us a whole book. Here are a few of my favorites:. Do not have too many kids. It will be hard work. Go to San Francisco, California and see the Golden Gate Bridge and take a picture for your honeymoon. Name your first girl Lizzy and name your first boy John.". Don't do eneything stoopid.". My advice is to kiss for 10 minutes and name the child Thomas or Cho.

Tuesday, February 18, 2014. Couponing Distaster, Aisle 9…. Today felt like Monday. I got up early and ate breakfast…and then crawled right back in bed, certain I really only needed ten minutes to get ready for the day. When I got to school, I discovered that we had a drug prevention assembly right during math. Over the course of the day, three parents stopped in to chat or get something. Four kids were absent. We started science rotations with a brand new class. I would price match. Of course, being new ...

Wednesday, July 31, 2013. The Hall of Shame. One More Reason I Wasn't Teacher of the Year. We all have moments we would rather not relive. Moments people continually reassure us will be really funny "someday." ( Exactly how long. I always wonder. Long enough that I forget it was me who actually did it and think it was someone else? I have never met anyone.". There was also the time I said, "Who would WEAR something this hideous? Think of (that haven't been repressed already) are so horrifically scarring t...

The Thinks I Think: Busy-ness
http://krissysthinks.blogspot.com/2013/03/busy-ness.html
Sunday, March 3, 2013. My clean clothes are folded in a basket in my bedroom. They have been there for 2 weeks. My darks are actually still in the dryer. Yeah, I know- 2 weeks is a long time. I ask myself why I cannot for the life of me get that done, and then I start counting the hours in a day compared to the hours I spend doing other things that need to be done. There simply isn't enough time in the day to get it all done. It's like the busy-ness is a status symbol. Sunday, March 03, 2013. Do what fee...

Sunday, March 27, 2011. It is not uncommon that I get lost in the town where I have lived since I was 9, but this latest incidence was the most ridiculous. The entire trip lasted 1 hour. I went home, climbed in my bed and just cried. It wasn't that I was upset at anyone, but more that I was just so tired and frustrated that I wasted 1 HOUR lost in my own hometown! The Thinks I Think: April 2012

Thursday, April 26, 2012. Thinks on Being Alone. For a long time it has been one of my biggest fears to be alone. I like being around people, not necessarily a lot of people, but just enough. I'm not necessarily one who has to talk all the time, but I do love some good conversation especially the kind that make me laugh so hard I cry or that inspire me in one way or another. It means rather that I have time to think, to breathe, and find some much needed peace. Here are some of my favorite lines:. Societ...

Wednesday, October 16, 2013. Life's Moral Dilemmas and Lemon Jawbreakers. I turned them loose to touch, pry, smell, and explore. Some students got caught up in the brown paper bag and started observing that, rather than what was inside the bag. "It's crunchy, it makes a sound when I twist it." one girl said. But that's the bag," I reminded her. "We are trying to observe what's. Ohhhh" she said. I could see the question in her eyes. "But we can't see. What's inside the bag.". What shape is it? Thud" It la...
