Tim's Music Tech Blog. Thursday, November 16, 2006. Finally here is an update on my major project. This semester has been up and down for Audio Arts, my original animation partner seemed to be struggling so much that I had to find a new partner. I later found out that my previous partner had come into the course partway through the year and was quite behind in her knowledge of the software, these details may have been more useful sooner! Posted by Tim @ 10:23 AM. S = Server.local;. Arg rate1 = 1,. Trigge...

Tim's Music Tech Blog: March 2006

In the gate plug in Pro Tools, there are 5 parameters you can select. 1 Threshold sets the level at which the gate is opened and the signal is passed through. 2 Attack sets the rate at which the gate opens thus smoothing the opening of the gate. Tim's Music Tech Blog. Sunday, April 30, 2006. This week we solely looked at making some sound with Super Collider. Christian explained that we needed to create one AM SynthDef and one FM SynthDef and post the code and a recording of each in our blogs. Here are my results. Arg carrierFreq = 220,. CarrierVol = 1;. Modulator = SinOsc.kr. Carrier = SinOsc.ar. Mul: carrierVol * modulator. B = Synth("AM Synth").play. Bset( carrierFreq, 440);. Bset( carrierFreq, 330);. Bset( carrierFreq, 220);. Our first assig...

Tim's Music Tech Blog. Thursday, June 29, 2006. Thought you would all get a laugh out of these Max T-shirts. Posted by Tim @ 3:56 PM. Sunday, June 25, 2006. Found a quote by Edgard Varèse I thought was quite interesting. It is partially in response to criticism of his perceived desregard of the past. You only have to turn to the revered past for the corroboration of my contention. The links in the chain of tradition are formed by men who have all been revolutionists! Posted by Tim @ 5:05 PM.
