Respite and Stepdad

This is my dad. This is my dad when he's stressed out! Respite is a program that allows a family a break from the pressures of dealing with an ADHD child. Troy goes to a respite family twice a month. He leaves on Friday, and usually returns on Sunday. This allows both Troy and I a break from each other, and allows him to interact in a completely different environment.

Troy has had an EEG and found nothing wrong. His brain is normal size and the Doctor found everything else normal. His memory is excellent. Once a particular thing is learned, it is never forgotten. He remembers everyones birthday, anniversaries, even the makes and models of his favourite trucks. Part of this may be autistic savant type of behaviour.
Obsessive Compulsive Behaviour

Troy's obsessions are demanding. For example, if he want's something, he will ask for it all day, and never let up. His behaviour deteriorates to the point of screaming, swearing, and punching. Once in this state of mind, he is almost uncontrollable. I have to allow him to calm down himself before I can talk to him, and explain why he can't always get his own way. Mom trying to work.
