looking for a gym | Marathon Girl

Skip to main content. Skip to secondary content. Looking for a gym. June 11, 2012. Disaster has struck. I’ve just found out that as well as training volunteers for the Olympics, my gym will be shutting the remainder of the building from the end of the month. That means I have to find a new gym for that period or start running/power walking. I guess even Paralympians even need somewhere to train. Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window). ab attack tuesday update | Marathon Girl
https://marathongal.wordpress.com/2012/06/06/ab-attack-tuesday-update
Skip to main content. Skip to secondary content. Ab attack tuesday update. June 6, 2012. So, it’s now time to either increase reps or add another exercise. Guess which I’ve decided to do? Add another exercise of course including the infernal planks.do persevere with them though, they are phenomenal for increasing vote strength. This week let’s keep the same number of reps on last weeks exercises and add one more with two reps. That way the time spent on them shouldn’t increase too much. 2 reps of 10 reps.

https://marathongal.wordpress.com/2012/05/31/now-i-have-a-medical-diagnosis-what-next
Skip to main content. Skip to secondary content. Now i have a medical diagnosis what next? May 31, 2012. Two weeks ago I wrote an update post. On my back condition following my MRI scan. This week I went back to the hospital for my follow-up appointment. After waiting 1hr 30 mins I was finally seen (because the receptionist didn’t tell the Physiotherapist that I was there). I was also told not to plan to run a marathon at all. At all! Don’t run a marathon? One thing is for sure, if I don’t defer, I...

https://marathongal.wordpress.com/2012/07/08/british-10k
Skip to main content. Skip to secondary content. July 8, 2012. British 10k, july 2012. This week I received a sad reminder of my medical state when this came in the post. I paid for a place in run in the British 10k prior to getting a medical diagnosis and being told by the physiotherapist at Guy’s Hospital Sport Injury Clinic that I had to stop running with immediate effect. Sadly I wasn’t able to run today. Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window). Share on Facebook (Opens in new window). I̵...

Muscat's OxBlog: January 2015
http://muscatoxblog.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
I'm a Computer Science graduate from the University of Oxford, UK. I now live and work in Oxford, worship and serve at St Aldates Church, and run Linux on anything I possibly can. Friday, January 30, 2015. I'm racing at Silverstone! Silverstone Wing and International Pits Straight. © James Muscat. It started, as these things occasionally do, with a dream. The only trouble is: I'm not going to be in a car. I'm not even going to be on a bike. I'm running the Silverstone Half Marathon. Curious, but not enou...

Training | anniemaggiemay
http://anniemaggiemay.com/blog/topic/training
One month to go! I’m aware that I start every blog post in the same way, but really time is going so fast! The countdown is now down to one month which is really very scary…. On the training front, I am trying to walk or hike at weekends as much as possible, though as I mentioned before it’s quite difficult in West London. I am very much a list-maker so I currently have several lists going – packing list, shopping list and a few to do lists – enough to keep me occupied for the next few weeks! While it wa...

Parkinson’s UK | anniemaggiemay
http://anniemaggiemay.com/blog/topic/parkinsons-uk
Category Archives: Parkinson’s UK. What’s the reason for all this? The end of Parkinson’s Awareness Week. Seems like a good time to think about the reason I decided to take on this Kilimanjaro challenge and why I’m raising money for Parkinson’s UK…. Last November I went with my dad to a Parkinson’s UK lecture at the Royal Institution about bespoke treatments for Parkinson’s. If you watch the last video on that link closely you’ll see a cameo from my dad). It was so interesting to learn more abo...
