Otherwise known as The Granny Cloud, are a collection of 200-odd volunteers who have been reading fairy tales to kids in slums. Is a charitable scheme that connects the generations. We aim to bring together older people without grandchildren. Living locally to families that live far away from their grandparents. We will launch our getting-to-know-you craft workshops this summer 2012. Until then, please register your interest with us so we can add you to our database. Currently we are focusing on the area around Bounds Green. Station - so if you live nearby and are interested, please get in touch!

Within the Adopt-a-Grandma framework, we suggest that you start off by meeting at regular spaced out intervals to become familiar with each other, and find out if you get along. We have two suggested basic rules that you can find by clicking ‘Rules’ above.

If you want to join in, you must agree to some basic rules to ensure everyone's welfare. These rules are guidelines and should be discused with your match in the first couple of meetings. Respect each other's culture, traditions, values and religions regardless of whether your beliefs are the same. No abusive or threatening behaviour (that means no insults, shouting or physical violence). If you are matched with someone who is in care, you may need a Criminal Record Bureau check before meeting them.
