The road to Max: September 2009
http://theroadtomax.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 23, 2009. The happier post I was referring to. We're being submitted for dates on tuesday! Monday, September 21, 2009. Absolutely. In times like these, however, I am calmed by my favorite poem, Desiderata. I have posted it for you as well. I am hopeful that my next post will be a happier one. The one thing in all of this I cannot seem to find justification for is how this could possibly benefit Max. What is he going to take from this experience that can help him to grow? For the worl...

The road to Max: June 2009
http://theroadtomax.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 26, 2009. I've been meaning to post this update for the past 72 hours, but I've been recovering from some bad news these past few days. Unfortunately, the one person holding the power which would allow us to adopt Max and bring him home decided to be a no-show for court on Monday. A new court date has been set for July 7th. If this person again refuses to care or comply we will be in for a long wait before Max can come home(Spring/Summer 2010). Tuesday, June 16, 2009. Your prayers are needed.

Monday, April 4, 2011. Let's go catch that sunshine! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,. And sorry I could not travel both. And be one traveler, long I stood. And looked down one as far as I could. To where it bent in the undergrowth;. Then took the other, as just as fair,. And having perhaps the better claim,. Because it was grassy and wanted wear;. Though as for that the passing there. Had worn them really about the same,. And both that morning equally lay. I wish I MAY.

The road to Max: December 2009
http://theroadtomax.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 15, 2009. Max has really adapted well. He has the most laid back and easy-going attitude about everything. He rarely throws a fit and when he does I’m relieved because I know he’s acting like a typical two-year-old. He’s very bright and is speaking more and more everyday. We never have to show him how to do anything twice, he figures things out amazingly fast and he even picks up his toys! Now, for the reason this update is so late…. Max on our visit just before court. Yet knowing how w...

The road to Max: December 2008
http://theroadtomax.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 30, 2008. Maybe I should have named my blog "The Long and Winding Road to Max". I know it’s been a while, but we’ve been on a wild rollercoaster since the last post. Even when I had the time to post, I didn’t know what was happening from one day to the next, always assuming that “tomorrow” I’d have more information. By the time tomorrow came I was again either too busy to sit still for five minutes or news had changed again. Our complete second dossier made its way to Russia. Today is N...

The road to Max: November 2008
http://theroadtomax.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 13, 2008. It’s been three weeks since we came home from Russia. This is really hard. All of the paperwork for our second dossier is now in. We are still waiting on our I71-H from immigration, but are confident that we will have it soon. The rest is waiting…and waiting…and waiting. The Vlad Inn was great as well. Catering to Westerners traveling for adoption, it is truly an oasis of comfort and relaxation for those facing an otherwise hectic and emotional journey. Away from the ...Okay&...
