Adoptive Mummy

February 10, 2014. This weekend Girl went to her cousins for the weekend with her grandparents, I was a bit apprehensive about it, she hasn’t had a sleepover with her grandparents for ages because every time she had one she came home and bullied Boy so we put a stop to it. After much thought I decided to let her go this weekend because above everything else I thought it would be fun for her. Well it. More than anything I wish these things weren’t so difficult for her, as I guess as many adoptive pa...

A reflective moment…. March 1, 2016. So from my last post you will understand what a tough year it has been but today had been one of those weird days when I have taken time to stand back and really reflect. I questioned myself. Was I being unsympathetic? Was she actually on this occasion truly injured? Girl has a track record of exaggerating injuries and illnesses and I was suspicious. How do I work out when she is really injured? It’s Been A long Time…. February 27, 2016. For a while I didn’t blo...

Laquo; Control & Food. January 8, 2014. I haven’t blogged for a while, life has been hectic, particularly since starting my degree course but last week I told myself, you WILL blog next week. What I didn’t intend or foresee was for my first blog post back to be a negative one. Certainly not her friends or teacher because her attachment to them is uncertain, friends can walk away and not come back. There are things that drive me mad, attachment-y stuff like treating the house with an element of disdain, l...

Rosiechook's ramblings: Our day out...

http://rosiechook.blogspot.com/2012/07/our-day-out.html

All about life, love and everything else in between! Monday, 30 July 2012. Last week was a busy week for the Rosiechook residence. Little chick broke up from School and I was still poorly with the lurgy which meant a trip to the Doctors. I officially have been diagnosed with Asthma and given steroids and an inhaler. It kinds of explains why I was awake every night sounding like Darth Vader! Anyway, I am feeling much better now, thank goodness. And there is The Lowry Theatre. The Tower of the Lowry Theatre.

Body Odor in children is one of those things no one really likes to talk about isn’t it, but, lets make an exception, just for now. My kids are smelly. Very smelly. Adoptive Momma of Three

Adoptive Momma of Three. Prenatal Drug Exposure and Disruption of Attachment. Attachment must travel a two-way street. Post published by Ira J. Chasnoff M.D. On Mar 20, 2015 in Aristotle's Child. Most simply, attachment. For successful attachment to occur, there are two requirements: each individual must be able to read the other’s cues and each individual must be able to respond appropriately to the other’s cues. These thoughts came to mind as I read a recently published book,. When the infant was three...

My Blog | Just another WordPress site

January 24, 2014. I am a foster mom in NY and have decided with my kids help that we want to expand our family through adoption. We are looking to adopt a girl or girls between 2-12. We are open to any ethnicity and we can accept some special needs. So each day I look at little girls and hope I can find the one or ones to be mine. Some days are good but some days are tougher. I want so badly to adopt again and can’t wait till things start to fall in place. Just another WordPress site.
