There were things about Jonathan Franzen’s “The Corrections” that I loved, and there were things that I hated. Franzen’s greatest strength is his thorough, detailed development of complex and well-rounded characters. I didn’t always LIKE them, but I found myself appreciating the strong way in which they were fleshed out throughout the novel, especially the character of Denise. This book was TOO LONG.
