Paintings and other artworks by Judy Jones. Well, the iMac is more Gary than the driftwood vase which was in my drawing. The canvas is approximately 44inches by 36 inches and I’ve been painting for 3 days solid. I’m not sure if it is finished but I’ve come to the end for now.I kept the colours to ultramarine, burnt ochre, raw light ochre , white, violet and a titchy bit of yellow ochre. Paintings and other artworks by Judy Jones. Isabel - Acrylic on canvas. 2010. Isabel has one of those memorable faces, fine features and large expressive eyes. She has a classic Spanish look (she comes from an old Asturian family and her features remind me of the models used by Velazquez, and also of the Spanish model who sat for Gustave Courbet ( of course Isabel is younger). She is quite happy to be my muse and I’m sure I’ll be using her face again as inspiration. Via the a/hole podcast.

Decorative Art | Judy Jones
https://judyjonesart.wordpress.com/2010/03/13/decorative-art
Paintings and other artworks by Judy Jones. I was going to start another portrait or maybe a still life but I don’t feel I have enough energy to work on a big painting at the moment. I am drifting towards decorative art, I feel the need to do a little design work and I need a little decorative therapy… there is also a large blank wall which needs something hanging on it. Some of my favourite 2oth Century painters use folk art or decorative art either as references or as a painting style, artists like Kah...

Paintings and other artworks by Judy Jones. When I was a youngster and always had a pencil in hand, I intended to be a famous fine artist so practised life drawings and portraits. I would force my younger brunette sisters and a little blonde friend to sit still for ages to hone my skills “don’t move your eyes! 8221; “turn your head a bit to the left! Is there no life after 49 , I also noticed last week that the BP portrait competition age range is 18-40. Am I now too old to draw and paint? Build a websit...

Paintings and other artworks by Judy Jones. Sketch of Gary for new painting. Pencil drawing for new painting Nude composition. My husband,Gary, has been very obliging by offering to model for my next painting. I wanted to try a nude and in the absence of a female model , I think Gary’s slender and wiry proportions fit the bill. After his morning shower , he courageously positioned himself in my chosen spot (near the draughty window) while I worked as quickly as I could. To TrackBack this entry is:. You a...
