mikesblog: Am I An Indian?
http://mikewilkesblog.blogspot.com/2009/05/am-i-indian.html
Tuesday, May 5, 2009. Am I An Indian? Last week, as usual, I picked the boys up after school. Hayden was sitting in the back seat and Hunter was in the passenger seat. We are heading home and we are having our usual discussion about their day. What did you have for lunch? Did anyone in your class get in trouble? The last question is simply a bait to allow the boys the opportunity to confess). May 5, 2009 at 10:09 PM. Here is my new blog address. Http:/ bigjblogosphere.blogspot.com/. How to get him back?

mikesblog: Are You Sure You Are Convicted?
http://mikewilkesblog.blogspot.com/2010/01/are-you-sure-you-are-convicted.html
Friday, January 8, 2010. Are You Sure You Are Convicted? It is a common thing to hear a person claim they are “convicted” about a certain belief. Their using this word is the way by which they suggest that God is the one who has led them to their conclusion. 8220;I am convicted” means they have convinced themselves (without clear biblical basis, else that card would have been played) that God has ordained their view as the one to which all others should conform. No What I just wrote is not correct. T...

Just Julie's Thoughts...: on the faithful..
http://justjuliesthoughts.blogspot.com/2010/04/faithful.html
Tuesday, April 13, 2010. I was reading my Bible the other day and a particular verse caught my eye. Perhaps my preacher brethren may have noticed this already, but if you haven't, I see a good sermon in it. The book of Hebrews, chapter 11, I'm sure you are all very well acquainted with. This chapter speaks of faith. It mentions many great, faithful servants of God. Just to name a few; Abraham, Noah, Moses, and also.Rahab. (vs 31). Now, when I noticed this, my first thought was "why? Chips and hot sauce!

God's Foundry: June 2014
http://lelandacker.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 16, 2014. I may never sit beneath the shade of the trees that I plant. An ancient proverb says "A society grows great when old men plant trees under whose shade they know they'll never sit.". With that in mind, I think about my own life. My family comes from humble beginnings. As far as social status, financial status, or political connections, I have no pedigree of which to boast. Yet, I have been blessed. Are you planting any trees in your life? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Leland Acker is ...

God's Foundry: False Profits: Tearing Down the Righteous, and Lifting up the Wicked Since 600 BC
http://lelandacker.blogspot.com/2013/06/false-profits-tearing-down-righteous.html
Monday, June 3, 2013. False Profits: Tearing Down the Righteous, and Lifting up the Wicked Since 600 BC. The blogosphere (at least in my circle) has slowed down considerably over the past few years, but four or five years ago, several of my fellow preachers, friends and acquaintances routinely took to our blogs to debate theological concepts and worship practices. During this time, the words "seeker friendly" were popularly used, and many criticized traditional churches. In Ezekiel 13, God turned his ire...
