Friday, 2 July 2010. Around the edge of Dubrovnik. Day 5 in Dubrovnik started with a walk around the old town, visiting parts of the town we hadn't seen before, namely the outer part which can only be reached by climbing steep steps! It was hard work in the heat and after pushing Jo most of the way up I can tell you I was gasping for air and well in need of a drink but refreshment wasn't far as we were trying to find a hidden bar, well off the beaten track, called Buza. Friday, 2 July 2010. Today we visited the island of Lokrum. The closest island to Dubrovnik and only a 15 minute ferry ride at 40 Kunas (£5). The ferry travel times are very convenient and depart and return to Dubrovnik every half-hour. The weather was stunning (again) and the sea flat so it was a nice crossing. Arriving in the bay.
