Do One Thing A Day That Scares You...: Less is More
http://onethingadaythatscaresyou-courtney.blogspot.com/2010/10/less-is-more.html
Do One Thing A Day That Scares You. Sunday, October 31, 2010. So one of my biggest insecurities is my body! From as far back as elementary school, I remember thinking that I was fat. I tried everything to loose the extra weight or at least try and hide it with the right clothes. I can not recall many times in my life that I remember being content with the way I look. That would surely get me to shed some of the extra lbs! Nope not for me! Finally, I decided to set my sights on the Ironman! I can run bike...

Do One Thing A Day That Scares You...: July 2011

Do One Thing A Day That Scares You. Saturday, July 9, 2011. Don't bother me. I'm crabbing! My cousin and her husband invited me out to Maryland to go crabbing! For you midwesterners, that means we take the boat into the bay to catch Maryland Blue Crabs. I love to eat crabs and have become quite the seafood snob. After having fresh steamed crabs from Maryland, nothing else really comes close. I stayed with my cousin Laurie and her husband Mike and their little munchkin Mikey! I had the best teachers!

Do One Thing A Day That Scares You...: June 2010
http://onethingadaythatscaresyou-courtney.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Do One Thing A Day That Scares You. Tuesday, June 29, 2010. Maybe I can't do it ALL. It is truly amazing how our past shapes who we are today and the decisions we make:) At some point in my life I decided that everything I do would have to be done at 300%. Work, school, family, friends, training, etc. I truly want to put my full heart into everything I do. No point in doing it if I don't try my best, right? She helped me realize that if I continue going like this I might not be able to finish Ironman.

Do One Thing A Day That Scares You. Saturday, July 9, 2011. My friend Colleen was able to make the drive out with me which was my first adventure:) It was so much fun to road trip with her and spend the weekend together! We got in town and she helped me get all settled (after trying a few hotels)! The first day here, we definitely felt the altitude! We made sure to chug water and it got better! We headed up to Boulder the next day for some hiking! It was so beautiful! But so worth it! VISIT MY new and Mu...

In Between. That is what I am calling this year. I am in between making any major decisions in racing and training. I loved last season. I raced short, hard, local and culminated my season with the USAT National Championships in MLK and ITU AG Worlds in Chicago. I had fun. I raced well and at the end of the season I was satisfied. When I finished my 2015 season, I was starting to think about 2016. What did I really want to do and the age old question, what excites me? The last few months of the build was...

Re-Defining Hard | Jennifer Harrison Coaching

Coming off another JHC Camp in Tucson this past week, I was reminded again of some of the key areas I try to work on with athletes : Re-defining hard and Suffering. Camp is not complicated. I keep it very simple, very precise and VERY hard. The biggest thing that I want the campers to walk away with from camp is this: Re-defining what their definition of HARD is. And, once you are done suffering (at that level), you need to walk away. This is what happened to Jerome. He finally just said, I just ...Last ...

Swim Swim & Swim! Comments Off on Swim Swim & Swim! God I love Swim Meets. The Superbowl meet fell at the end of my bigger week and I was tired. Plus, with the combination of Graham breaking his wrist and other life things, I was a little cooked on Friday. So, I threw out my run and swam only a short set on Saturday so I would have some SNAP for Sunday. Snap being the important word here. Oh, and my friend and lanemate, Krista beat me by 1 second in the 500. We are so funny, we swim exactly the same ...
