Life is an occasion, Rise to it. My Guatemala Top 10. You have to get through the inconveniences of life and just be happy." - Ana Maria. When people ask, how was your trip? My response is something like this - "It was amazing, incredible, and life-changing! I felt that way because of the PEOPLE I met and the EXPERIENCES I had while in Guatemala for a week with my Masters Program. It is my hope that my Top 10 of Guatemala conveys those emotions to you. 10 - The Architecture. 8 - The Food. I had completel...

Quinn-tessentials: July 2015
http://quinntessentials.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
The pure and concentrated essence of the Quinn Family. Thursday, July 2, 2015. June: Family, Flowers, and the Windy City. The month started out with a dreamy visit from the Quinns. We finally made it to the Arboretum, which is a huge park right down town in Ann Arbor. Timing was perfect for the Peony garden. This stud just got back from his 2 year mission in Mexico. It was so good to chill with him again! Small boy, or gargantuan flower? This is how I feel a lot these days. New Shephard Fairey mural!

http://quinntessentials.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
The pure and concentrated essence of the Quinn Family. Sunday, April 6, 2014. Beatnik party and other March marvels. April has already been so busy, March seems like a distant memory. But here it goes. March! The month started out with a field trip to the Fire station. While we were wrapping things up, the fire fighters got called out, which was pretty awesome to watch. Fun hand-me down sweater vests. Eliot's getting pretty good at dressing himself. The boys are hopping on the band wagon as well. The boy...

LIFE, etc.: A Poem
http://dailybowloflife.blogspot.com/2013/10/a-poem.html
Some things in life get old really fast. If I was given Life cereal to eat every day,. One day, I would get sick of it and not want it again. And that's saying somethings because. I also love (in no particular order or categorization). Disney movies, tomatoes, cheese,. Hiking, snuggling, Christmas, chips and salsa,. Friends, family, Nutella, vacuuming, traveling,. Camping, writing, and eating ice cream. Why do I love these things? Why do I cherish the moments when I have encounters. I think it's because.

LIFE, etc.: November 2012
http://dailybowloflife.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
This month has been full of reminders that we need to be grateful for those things that we do have. I saw those reminders primarily on Facebook and Twitter. Let's be honest, those are really the only two websites that I frequent. Many people posted one thing each day that they are grateful for. Touching things, really. Bearing their souls. And I posted one thing that I'm grateful for. On Twitter. Yup That was my only thankful post. But you know what? Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin. I love my family. Both of my...

Street Sweep: Long Days
http://astreetsweeper.blogspot.com/2015/04/long-days.html
Monday, April 6, 2015. A month after having my baby, a good friend emailed me an update of her four kids. She ended the email by saying "The days are long, but the years fly by! I haven't experienced the years yet, but amen to those long days. Nope Only 20 minutes have gone by. Hmm. Long days? Talk about long minutes. I always expected motherhood to be hard. I knew I would lose my body, my brain, my identity, my time, my sleep. And you know what? This is so beautiful. I love you both! You are the best!

Street Sweep: September 2012
http://astreetsweeper.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 10, 2012. Twice now I've been asked to leave my students in the care of someone else in order to go relay a message to another teacher. Once was while they were being tested and I panicked at the idea of not being there to see them when they were finished. Who would greet them as they came out? Who would give them a high five or a hug and tell them they were brave for taking such a hard test? Who would know how to cheer up my crier and keep the tears at bay? Links to this post. Wonder #...
