Thursday, September 20, 2012. On the night you were born,. The moon smiled with such wonder,. That the stars peeked into see you. And the night wind whispered,. Life will never be the same.'. Because there had never been anyone like you. Ever, in the world. Not once had there been such eyes, such a nose,. Such silly and wiggly, wonderful toes! For never before in story or rhyme,. Not even once upon a time). Has the world ever known a you, my friend. And it never will. not ever again. Those first moments ...

*The Ostler Family*: Thankful for what I do have
http://kevinandkylee.blogspot.com/2012/05/thankful-for-what-i-do-have.html
Tuesday, May 29, 2012. Thankful for what I do have. Sometimes it's just way too easy to get caught up in the negatives, or what you view as negatives, in your life. I have been in a rut the past few weeks wishing some things were different, today I had a wake up call that my life is full of amazing and wonderful things. I have a lot to be thankful for. Kylee and Kevin Ostler. Sorry for your troubles, but YAY for Kev being home with Stryder! June 26, 2012 at 9:32 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

*The Ostler Family*: Papa
http://kevinandkylee.blogspot.com/2012/05/papa.html
Saturday, May 26, 2012. I just finished watching Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. It made me miss my Papa. He made the best hash browns and over easy eggs. He could make a killer sandwich. He taught me that hard work makes you stronger. He was terrible with computers. He was my Papa, I miss him. Kylee and Kevin Ostler. You made me miss your Papa, and I never even had the pleasure of meeting him! This was such a loving tribute to him. I know youre still making him proud. May 29, 2012 at 8:31 AM.

*The Ostler Family*: February 2011
http://kevinandkylee.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 22, 2011. I hit 8 weeks today! We are both very much hoping for a little girl, with the two boys already we'd both love the experience of a little princess. My doctor won't determine sex until at least 18 weeks (so much later than most doctors) I really can't wait to find out and am counting down the days. All in all, things are looking up and I'm very hopeful for a smooth 2011 with the latter part of the year bringing us a new little bundle of joy. Kylee and Kevin Ostler.

Curmudgeon Central: The Case of the Paranoid President
http://manjushri924.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-case-of-paranoid-president.html
And if I laugh at any mortal thing, 'Tis that I may not weep." - Lord Byron. Saturday, August 8, 2015. The Case of the Paranoid President. Margaret B. Lee: A Curmie contender, and a strong one. It seems that Oakton Community College President Margaret B. (Peg) Lee was retiring after three decades of service to the Des Plaines, IL, institution, and the college held a reception in her honor. So far, so good, right? Chester Kulis: Not advocating violence. So let us stipulate a few things. 1). The la...What ...

And if I laugh at any mortal thing, 'Tis that I may not weep." - Lord Byron. Saturday, May 17, 2014. The Case of the False Credentials (and the Idiot Administrator). Curmiphiles of a certain age will remember well the phrase, “it’s not the crime; it’s the cover-up,” one of the incessantly-intoned mantras of the Watergate era. I was reminded of that line today in reading about recent events at Birch Vocational Academy. Nancy Stevenin: Liar and Cheat. But they’ll sell you a PhD for $648. Including tax, app...

Curmudgeon Central: Barney Frank may be a Democrat, but he’s no democrat

And if I laugh at any mortal thing, 'Tis that I may not weep." - Lord Byron. Saturday, July 25, 2015. Barney Frank may be a Democrat, but he’s no democrat. Barney Frank: he should know better than this. In a town hall meeting on Obamacare? Frank was regarded as one of the smartest and most eloquent politicians around. Witness, for example, this screed. Because it’s taken me a couple of days to get to this story, there’s already an excellent response out there from Cristóbal Reyes. Frank’s key asser...

Bernie Sanders demonstrating his unelectability. Last week, someone named Cara Harris published an article that is depressing in its predictability. Like Barney Frank. Before her, she would really, really appreciate it if we would all accept the inevitability of a Hillary Clinton candidacy. Allow me, then, to answer those questions. Do you think heR...

Curmudgeon Central: June 2014

And if I laugh at any mortal thing, 'Tis that I may not weep." - Lord Byron. Monday, June 30, 2014. Arne Duncan Outdoes Himself. In my antepenultimate (to this) post. I described Secretary of Education Arne Duncan as “the worst cabinet member of the millennium (and yes, Curmie includes the likes of Alberto Gonzales and Donald Rumsfeld in that analysis).” It wasn’t always that way—I even praised him. Arne Duncan Attempts to Be Worst Cabinet Secretary Ever. Arne Duncan announced that, shockingly, students ...
