Advanced Math - 7th Hour

Advanced Math - 7th Hour. Sunday, March 27, 2011. This week we learned section 6-4. Section 6-4 was dealing with hyperbolas. Hyperbolas are in the form x 2/a 2 –y 2/b 2 or –x 2/a 2 y 2/b 2. Part of the Equation:. 1 Major axis – variable with larger denominator (non-negative). 2 Minor axis –variable with smaller denominator. 3 Length of major –2 square root of non-negative denominator. 4 Length of minor –2 square root of smaller denominator. 5 Vertex – square root of non-negative denominator. 5 (5,0)(-5,0).

Advanced Math - 7th Hour: 6-3

http://advancedmath7.blogspot.com/2011/03/6-3_5680.html

Advanced Math - 7th Hour. Sunday, March 20, 2011. This week we learned section 6-3. In 6-3 we learned how to solve problems in the form of x 2/a y 2=1. Part of the Equations:. Examples: Find all the parts of X 2/4 y 2/25=1. 1 Major axis= y. 3 Length of major=10. 4 length of minor=4. 5 vertex= (0,5)(0,-5). 6 Other Int=(2,0)(-2,0). 7 focus=( 0,square root of 21)(0,-square root of 21). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). This week in advanced math we started on chapter 6.

Advanced Math - 7th Hour: 6-3

http://advancedmath7.blogspot.com/2011/03/6-3_2877.html

Advanced Math - 7th Hour. Sunday, March 20, 2011. This week in advanced math we learned how to find parts of the equation. The equation has many parts and we learned how to identify them all. We also learned recently how to find the equation of the circle. This is done by finding the distance formula and plugging numbers in the right place into the equation. But in this we'll focus on 6-3 and finding parts of the equation. In the form x 2/a y 2/b = 1. Parts of the equation. X 2/9 y 2/16 = 1.

Advanced Math - 7th Hour: a matrices review..

http://advancedmath7.blogspot.com/2011/03/matrices-review.html

Advanced Math - 7th Hour. Sunday, March 20, 2011. Prom is next saturday:D but im sure you guys already know :) im kinda excited about it too. But anyways,I cant seem to find my chapter six notes so ill blog about something we did a while back. Matrices, yayyy. Just like every other area of advanced math, matrices are tedious. Here are the matrices rule:. When adding matrices, they must be of the same dimensions. The same goes for subtracting. Ex A 4x3 matrices can only be added to a 4x3 matrices.

Advanced Math - 7th Hour: chapter 6

http://advancedmath7.blogspot.com/2011/03/chapter-6.html

Advanced Math - 7th Hour. Sunday, March 20, 2011. This week we did some pretty easy things in chapter 6 for the most part. The easiest thing for me personally is finding the 7 parts of an ellipse. 1 Tell the major axis. 2 Tell the minor axis. 3 Length of major. 4 Length of minor. All of these things are pretty easy to find. Ex: x 2/25 y 2/9 = 1. All of them must equal 1. 1 Major axis- x because the number on the bottom is bigger. 3 Length of major – 10 (2 times the square root). 4 Length of minor- 6.

Advanced Math - 7th Hour: Zomg

http://advancedmath7.blogspot.com/2011/03/zomg.html

Advanced Math - 7th Hour. Sunday, March 20, 2011. Zomg Look who finally remembered that blogs exist! So this week in Advanced Math we started chapter six, but we skipped 6-1 because B-Rob said it was dumb. So, one thing we learned was section 2 which is all about connics and the equation of a circle. The mid point formula is also needed for this. As a remindered, it's (Xv1 Xv2)/2, (Yv1 Yv2)/2. The distance formula is used as well when given a center point and an outside point. X-4) 2 (y-3) 2 = 4. Simple ...

AP Calculus AB - 2nd

AP Calculus AB - 2nd. Sunday, April 3, 2011. Well, I feel as though I have reviewed just about everything we’ve learned several times over…except word problems. The free response questions on the practice AP tests that we’ve been doing are essentially just word problems. I’ll go over how to work through a simple related rate problem. There are steps that you can take to decipher related rate word problems. Don’t forget to include your units (such as cm/min or ft 3/sec). You need to know are:. Now, solve ...

Advanced Math - 6th Hour. Friday, August 12, 2011. Sunday, April 3, 2011. I don't know about those guys but i thought this week was pretty awesome, we got to get credit for easy tests every day, catch up on our aleks, and have some fun. My favorite was probably the chapter seven test because it was the easiest one to do. I'm surprised I still remember that trig chart. Well thats it.peace. Monday, March 28, 2011.
