We’ve got our boots on and, as the guys effortlessly throw our 50lb bags over their heads, we head over the barbed wire and into the valley…. We turn around and head back towards the coastal route that we came in on. About 15 minutes into THAT journey we hit another landslide- and we wait. This happens three more times on the way. One time we are actually stopped for about 2 hours and it takes us a total of about 9 to get there! This trip has been a once-in-a-lifetime experience, that’s for certain!

Monday, June 30, 2008. I thought I would write a little about what I expect on this trip. We are leaving on Tuesday, July 8 th. At 10:50am on American Airlines flight 552 from Ontario. We fly into Dallas/Fort Worth arriving at 3:50pm. We leave Dallas/Fort Worth at 6:00pm on flight 2167 and arrive in San Jose, Costa Rica at 8:55pm. I am planning on taking 3 or 4 carry- ons. 3 suitcases to check, 1 computer and my purse. Albert will also have 1 suitcase and 1 carry-on. We will be staying in the Villa Laguna.
