Old Paper Art: Ruddy Duck, 2015
http://oldpaperart.blogspot.com/2015/07/ruddy-duck-2015.html
Monday, July 13, 2015. Ruddy Duck, 2015. This is my Federal Duck cover for the 2015 Federal Duck stamp. The cost of the stamp went from $15 to $25 this year, but that didn't deter me. It is also the 25th Duck stamp issue I've done. July 29, 2015 at 7:10 PM. Nicely painted; an honor! And its terrifying getting those whole sheets, isnt it? I hope they were able to fix your error! Old Paper Art: October 2014
http://oldpaperart.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 2, 2014. Stolen Cannon and the Battle of the Big Hole. This is the companion piece to my post of yesterday. And depicted is a Mountain Howitzer, similar to the one taken from Fort Shaw, Montana Territory in 1877 by Colonel John G. Gibbon, to pursue over 750 Nez Perce Indians under Chief Joseph and Looking Glass. The Nez Perce had moved into Montana ostensibly to avoid being placed on a reservation, and their moving village consisted of approximately 90 tipis. Battle of the Big Hole.

Old Paper Art: Indian Scout, 1928
http://oldpaperart.blogspot.com/2015/07/indian-scout-1928.html
Tuesday, July 7, 2015. Indian Scout, 1928. I used an image of a 1928 Indian Scout from a full page ad for the Indian Motocycle Company in Springfield, Massachusetts, as a model for this piece of billhead. It is the third piece that I have done on paper from Curnow the Indian. In Butte, Montana. UPDATE: Marianne Dow just posted a PHOTOGRAPH of Curnow which she found in Motorcycle Illustrated Magazine, so I'm posting the link to the photograph right here. Labels: 1928 Indian Scout.
