Adventures in Hand Piecing. Hello and thank you for stopping by! Wednesday, February 4, 2009. Crispy commented on this sunflower, which was shown in my first post. She also asked how I planned to press the seam allowances on those sharp points at the tips of my current block, the compass, so that the seams went. The yellow patches, as I said I was going to (sharp gal! Interestingly, I can illustrate this little problem with the compass by showing how I handled the same issue in the sunflower block. By th...

Adventures in Hand Piecing: Templates and Marking the Patches

http://adventuresinhandpiecing.blogspot.com/2009/02/templates-and-marking-patches.html

Adventures in Hand Piecing. Hello and thank you for stopping by! Monday, February 2, 2009. Templates and Marking the Patches. The next photo illustrates my method for cutting triangle patches. It is quick! See the masking tape tabs? They are little handles I can grab to quickly reposition the templates. The bent ends of the window template serve the same purpose. Above, the window template is aligned for tracing. Below, the line has been traced and the template removed. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Adventures in Hand Piecing. Hello and thank you for stopping by! Monday, February 2, 2009. Click on the illustration to enlarge it. Save it, if you like. Click your browser's Back button to return to this blog. (Note: Some lines appear to be curved. This is only a result of my inexperience with file conversion. All the lines are straight.). Tomorrow I'll post some photos of the sewing in progress. February 5, 2009 at 4:00 PM. BeckyAs a true newbie to hand piecing, I am totally impressed with this block!

Adventures in Hand Piecing: Piecing the Unit

http://adventuresinhandpiecing.blogspot.com/2009/02/piecing-unit.html

Adventures in Hand Piecing. Hello and thank you for stopping by! Monday, February 2, 2009. I only marked sewing lines on the yellow pieces, which save a lot of marking. I could do this because I can sew every seam with a yellow patch on top. I follow the sewing lines on the yellow patch. As long as the two patches are aligned at the cut edge, the seam will be where it should be on the back patch. The second long white patch is aligned. And pinned for sewing. BEETLEBOMB

Friday, May 24, 2013. I think to be successful it's very important to have flexibility in your thinking. Adventures in Happiness | Live the Adventure…

Live the Adventure…. An adventure in happiness. How does an adventure begin, exactly? With a quest, of course! Have a quest to embark on an adventure, right? I remember about 10 or so years ago when my own adventure in happiness began. I was sitting in a seminar and this woman stood up to talk. Her demeanor WAS happiness. She exuded it. It radiated from every cell in her body. I was in absolute awe of how someone could be so happy! I want to be happy! So what makes this an adventure? Your email address w...
