Berlin | 10 Months Abroad
https://adventuresofalissa.wordpress.com/2015/07/30/berlin
Follow me on my adventures as I spend 10 months working in Germany. July 30, 2015. Berlin was by far the dirtiest German city I’ve been to. It was a holiday weekend, so perhaps the city workers were all on vacation, but still…. It smelled like urine. I think there was more English than German spoken. The Berlin Wall is really cool, and it’s just mind boggling to really think about how big it was. Update: I still don’t speak German. Sweet, Sweet Switzerland. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Update: I still don’t speak German | 10 Months Abroad
https://adventuresofalissa.wordpress.com/2015/07/01/update-i-still-dont-speak-german
Follow me on my adventures as I spend 10 months working in Germany. Update: I still don’t speak German. July 1, 2015. When I got here, I could say a few inappropriate, unhelpful words and I could count. After eight months in Germany and four months of a VHS class, I can handle restaurants, supermarkets, and train stations. I can talk about vacations, my family, maybe the weather… That’s about it. Ooh and I can name some transmission parts! But that was a long time ago…. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. How to...
Little Luxembourg | 10 Months Abroad
https://adventuresofalissa.wordpress.com/2015/07/30/little-luxembourg
Follow me on my adventures as I spend 10 months working in Germany. July 30, 2015. Luxembourg is so tiny. You can see the whole city in one afternoon, which is what we did. It’s cool though, there’s a really interesting blend of the old and the new. The old city was built up on the cliffs. There’s a path that runs around and offers a nice view of the city. We visited the cathedral, walked the path, and wandered down through the casemates. Irish Road Trip 2k15. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Ginger Dent on T...

Follow me on my adventures as I spend 10 months working in Germany. Irish Road Trip 2k15. July 30, 2015. Day 1: Arrive in Dublin. Day 2: Northern Ireland Letterkenny. Day 3: Dunguaire Cliffs of Moher. No wonder those morons lost it. Is it too late to be a Bavarian princess? Day 4: Einnis Dingle. We paddled out across the mouth of the bay and into a sea cave. When we were coming out, Funghi the dolphin was out jumping around. They say you’re more likely to see him in the evening when there isn’t s...We le...

More Than That
I am more than just one descriptor. Yes, I am a teacher, a single gal, a dog-owner, a sister, a daughter, a crocheter. But I am more than that. Friday, August 9, 2013. So I never blog, but I've been reading a lot of blogs recently, so I thought I'd try again. I've been kind of going overboard with how much time I've spent in my classroom this week, but I blame it on getting new bookshelves and having to re-arrange and reorganize. Getting new bookshelves was a definite high-point! Links to this post.
