Adventures of Kara

Sunday, December 16, 2012. We are staying at Riad Mamouche. It is absolutely lovely! We arrived to Merzouga at 5am. A taxi picked us up and brought us to the Riad where we took a 3 hour nap before enjoying breakfast on the terrace. We then walked around the town - noting there was absolutely nothing to do. However, I did stop and take tons of pictures of camels. I'm totally fascinated with them. They seem so kind and gentle, not to mention smart! After dinner we had a small fire with a little drum circle...

Adventures of Kara: Weather Permitting

http://www.adventuresofkara.blogspot.com/2012/12/day-3.html

Thursday, December 6, 2012. I remember loving it as a child as well. Most of the toys are broken, but the kids don't care. Adults have a lot to learn from children. We don't need brand new things to have fun. Old, broken things can also serve a purpose. After lunch, we had a history lesson. We learned a lot about the Moroccan culture. It was lovely. It didn't require any hair goo. She was awesome and it proves that you can't judge a book by it's cover. I had luscious straight hair for 3 full days.

Adventures of Kara: Morocco Arrival

http://www.adventuresofkara.blogspot.com/2012/12/morocco-arrival.html

Sunday, December 2, 2012. What a long day and a half! Our flight left at 1:30 for Salt Lake City. We had a two hour delay there and passed the time at a little wine/beer bar. It was a comfy little spot! Thankfully we were able to talk the gate agent into giving us seats together - we were originally booked in middle seats one aisle in front of the other. Can you imagine 9 hours of being in a middle seat next to strangers while on your honeymoon? To no surprise, our luggage did not. 5 AM Prayer and Clean ...

Wednesday, November 14, 2012. For the next few blogs Walt Disney World is all you are gone hear. My parents suprised me and my brothers with us opening a suitcase that tells us we are going to Disney World. The next morning we were on a plane flying to Cincinati, Ohio, then to Orlando, Florida. Adventures of Kalia and friends

Adventures of Kalia and friends. Epic tales of Kalia's latest adventures. Friday, December 10, 2010. An adventure in trains. I was sad to leave Romania. Everyone was just so nice and I felt really safe and comfortable there. I think part of it was that I was worried about traveling across 4 countries by train by myself. This was my attempt to get a shot of a cemetery. They can really tell you a lot about a culture. Not so much countryside, but I liked all the lines at this stop. I slept somewhat through ...

Wednesday about 1 pm, I got a call from the Eddie Caldwell, Executive Director of the North Carolina Sheriff's Association, informing me of the headlines above. The Sherrif's Office there was operating outside from under a tarp on the sidewalk. My mind went back to the scenes etched in my memory from being in Haiti following the earthquake. Adventures of Kat

It is never too late to be what you might have been. – George Eliot. I’m writing a post! I’m in Arizona sitting on the couch of my dear friend Diana with the door open watching some bad TV and just being in the same room together. It’s awesome. I’ve been here since the 19th and have enjoyed a stress-free, mostly drama free visit. It’s been awesome. Oh Foxy is chugging along. We did a crowd funding campaign a couple months ago and raised a couple thousand dollars. We are looking for a location but...I hav...

THE ADVENTURES OF KATE - Blog

I'm not sure whether it's because my stepdad is a dentist, but teeth are a big thing to me. They're the first thing I notice when talking to someone. It's a curse. It does also have its uses, my household was known to be the go-to hotline for dental advice and no less than 4 of my friends have had emergency treatment in my stepdad's chair! From 14-16 I had braces, and they did the job, I had lovely teeth and they were perfectly straight. 8203;My teeth began to drift back. It's super exciting, because I l...
