Adventures of the Steel-Toed Boots. This blog is intended to document my 10 month term of National Service with AmeriCorps NCCC. From October, 2008 to July, 2009, I will be saving a small portion of my world, from sunrise to sundown. And boy, am I pumped. I'm in Utah now. It's beautiful here. perfect weather, green hills and snow-capped mountains all over! So far I'm still training to be a counselor, and we start receiving campers next Monday, June 1st! Thursday, May 14, 2015. Wednesday, February 4, 2015. We spent Christmas in Georgia. It was great spending time with family! Packing for Christmas was a little tricky. We bought several suitcases at Goodwill to help fly our new toys home! Do you love the "choke" hold on Evie? Santa's elves minus one. Evie got to see the battle grounds from the Civil War. The Confederacy guarded the Atlanta by setting up cannons on the mountain. We had a day of beautiful sunny weather, which called for a picnic at the park!

Our adoption Journey (and whatever random thing I want to talk about :). Wednesday, December 8, 2010. We have started the process! An anonymous donor has completed our adoption fund! They have told us to go ahead and proceed that it has been taken care of! So as of this week we have started the Homestudy process. We are filling out all the paper work for our domestic adoption.
