Friday, September 30, 2011. Every Sunday we go to church. We used to go to service and then teach Sunday School, but with a toddler and a newborn, we're just thrilled to get out of the house early enough to teach! At the end of the year, no one was available to teach the 9th-becoming-10th grade kids for the summer, so I volunteered. These students are such a blessing in our lives. So I wanted to get a picture of our kiddos before church - ha! Suffice it to say, I will NEVER have a career in child photogr...

Back in Texas: Last Day of Preschool
http://haynesfamilytx.blogspot.com/2012/05/last-day-of-preschool.html
Wednesday, May 23, 2012. Last Day of Preschool. 1) It has been so long since I last updated the blog (my sweet mommy friends totally tease me about it) that Blogger has changed the format. So bear with me. 2) Today was Jackson's last day of preschool in the twos class. Trying to get a sweet smile - but he just gave me a mischievous grin. My friend Christine told me that she takes a picture of her kids on the first and last day of school. What a great idea! And the texture of Jackson's hair! I just notice...

Wednesday, June 13, 2012. Last Week In Pictures. My friend Nicole (one of my favorite people in the world) sent me a facebook message about a month ago saying that she was going to be in Dallas soon and asking if I wanted to meet her for lunch. Umm, yes of course! I was so excited when she sent me a text on Monday to set a time and place for Tuesday - yay! Here is the picture Jackson (! Later that week, on Thursday, we had a bit of a thunderstorm with some HIGH winds. I mean, I thought the tornadoes ...

Monday, January 31, 2011. Well, clearly I have blown my resolution. And it's not even February. I'm ok with it though because I feel like it at least got me back in the habit of blogging. Here's what went on last week:. Tuesday we went to story time and Jackson was much better behaved than the last two weeks. We arrived a little early so he got to run some of his energy out. He doesn't get to see his playgroup friends very often, so when he does he is so excited to see them! Our friends Rachel and Presley.

Wednesday, July 18, 2012. We're having a fun Wednesday at home, staying around the house and relaxing with toys and art projects and maybe the teeniest bit of TV. Jackson telling his animals and one vegetable to say cheese. He tapped each of them on the head and said "cheese, cheese, cheese, cheese.". Jackson wheeled the wagon into the living room and I asked him "Are those your kiddos? Are you taking them for a ride? Smile starting to droop because I am taking too many pictures. Monday, December 26, 2011. We have been going a mile a minute these past few days. I have some great pictures and memories to share. Here are a few random thoughts for tonight:. This was going to be our Christmas card, but I didn't get it together. I am truly horrible at mailing anything out. 4 Sometimes I can't believe I'm a mom. Is that totally crazy? 5 I love Christmas. 7 Just noticed that #1 and #6 contradict each other. Such is life. Merry Christmas. Posted by The Haynes Family. I think I already me...

Capitol to Capital: Yes, I Really Liked the Old Google Reader That Much
http://ieatdc.blogspot.com/2012/12/yes-i-really-liked-old-google-reader.html
Yes, I Really Liked the Old Google Reader That Much. So we have to start with the arrogant presupposition that anyone is missing new posts here. Now that we have that covered, whether it's true or not, I can get into why. I'm going to focus on technology and not on the whole "when I started I was a student and now I have a demanding full time job" thing. (Also, Pinterest. Exists. Rabbit hole, you guys, amirite.). Let's talk about the death of Google Reader. Google Reader. Off to City Beer Hall for brunch...
