Three Records; One Life | Adventuring in Ancestry

Blog and Personal Web Page Links. Three Records; One Life. Posted by P J Sabados. Asymp; Leave a comment. What I originally set out to do was to locate the birth record for William Henry Taylor. I knew his birth information from his obituary and his death certificate. There was a one day discrepancy between the two. While both showed November, 1857 as the month and year, the obituary listed the day as the 10th, while the death certificate listed it as the 11th. Which one was correct? This post deals with...

There’s not much in the way of genealogy here; just some random musings, some thoughts about my past, and maybe, a hope or two for the future. We often hear about how catty high school girls can be to other girls, but in my high school, I never experienced that. When I was sixteen, I developed alopecia. At the top of his lungs, trying to be funny. He. I may not...

Blog and Personal Web Page Links. Memories of My Dad. Posted by P J Sabados. Asymp; Leave a comment. On Monday, I received the news from my brother that our Dad had passed away. This was not unexpected; his health had been declining the past few months, and doctors had recently advised us that there was nothing more they could do medically for him. I am sad that he is no longer with us, but glad that he no longer is suffering. My Mom may have taught me how to read, but my Dad taught me to love reading.

Shaking the Family Tree. Illuminating the Everyday through Communion with the Ancestors. May 28, 2012 in Discoveries. One of the reasons I chose to study German, instead of French or Spanish, was actually my family heritageI’m not sure exactly why, but it had something to do with honoring my ancestry. I suppose that was as good a reason as any. I remember consulting my parents and they thought it was a good idea at the time. And now I find I really. Wikitionary tells me that gemütlich derives from. Of th...

Iceland, Splitboarding, Skitouring, Surfing, Camping, Travel. June 1, 2015. The last week of our trip went in, the snow didn’t seem to get us ‘wild’ anymore.
