Aerial (Fox) Runway

The Manjedal Activities Centre Aerial Runway (or Flying Fox) is 240 metres in length spanning accross the valley with the highest point being 15 metres off the ground. It takes a Participant (Rider) approximately 30 seconds to travel from the Dispatch Platform to the Retrievals Platform, and requires a minimum of 2 Activity Operators. Participants safety is maintained with the use of full body harness, auto-locking steel karabiners, and weight restrictions (110kg single rider - 100kg dual riders).

Scouts WA Roping Council (Adventurous Activities) continues the Roping Workshop in 2015. The Roping Workshop is open to Venturers, Rovers and Leaders wishing to develop skills in Abseiling (Artificial), Abseiling (Natural), and Climbing (Artificial). At the Roping Workshop you work along side Venturers, Rovers and Leaders to develop your own personal skills and abilities (at your own pace) in the areas of Abseiling and Climbing. Manjedal Activities Centre hosts some of the best Adventurous Activities in the state. On our Giant Swing a participant is raised up to 8 metres into the air, and then the release cord is pulled by the operator sending the participant for a short free fall before the equipment takes up the slack and the participant is sent on a wild ride of speed and g-forces. What could be more spectacular than waking up one morning to this view. This was the view experienced by Scouts/Leaders at the 1st National School of Adventurous Activities in January 2014. From 2014 all leaders are being trained and assessed to Level 1 Bushwalking under Certificate in Outdoor Recreation, as part of their leadership program. Bushwalking training dates have been scheduled for April, June, September, and November. Please refer to the. Calendar for more information.
