lines from the clines: March 2013

Saturday, March 30, 2013. Faces of a 3 Month Old. I can hardly believe it's been 3 months already! It is so fun seeing Wes grow and reach milestones that would seem small and insignificant but in actuality are all a really big deal! Not only for Wes but for Matt and I too! He gives us lots of big gummy smiles and loves to laugh. He coos with us and loves to sing songs that require you to quack like a duck and use as many facial and hand expressions possible. We just love this little guy!

Thanks to family, friends, neighbors and Secret Santas we had a great Christmas, in more ways than one. We truly felt very blessed and loved by many. We were able to come to better understand the spirit of the season and hope that sometime we can pay it forward. The boys trying out their new sleeping bags and alligator pillow they got from a secret santa while sharing with their sister.

L.I.Z.A.R.D.S.: An Antonism
http://nielsenmentheboys.blogspot.com/2012/07/antonism.html
Linden, Isabel, Zackary, Anton and Rachel do stuff. Wednesday, July 11, 2012. On the Fourth, while we were at Grandma Nielsen's house Anton was talking to Grandma about our activities the previous day. This is how the conversation went. Anton: "We went to a funeral yesterday.". Grandma: "Yes, I know.". Anton, very matter-of-factly: "Grandma died before the funeral.". I am also very grateful for the safe arrival of a brand new niece that bears my grandma's name, Jane Ida. Thanks for the update Rachel!

L.I.Z.A.R.D.S.: Family Participation!!
http://nielsenmentheboys.blogspot.com/2013/01/family-participation.html
Linden, Isabel, Zackary, Anton and Rachel do stuff. Tuesday, January 8, 2013. The new thing at our house is that Isabel is being potty trained! We are through week one, and she slowly seems to be making progress. Unlike her brothers, she does NOT stay dry at night, so we have her in diapers only at night. She is getting better at not having accidents. Slowly but surely we will get there. Keep it up Rachel. Miss you guys! February 10, 2013 at 9:43 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). http://jedisintraining.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 17, 2012. Oh what do you do in the Summertime. Here are a few pictures of some of the things that we have been doing this summer. I thought that I would post this today, since we are going to be without internet for about 1 week as we move to the new house. Go to the beach. Eat snow cones at Kahuna Joe's on your way home from the beach. Put on the hole armor of God for FHE. Jonev. Wear sunglasses and enjoy fun packages from Grandma. Have water day in the back yard with your friends.

Sunday, October 7, 2012. We finally took the training wheels off for Jonev. He is so happy and he didn't miss a beat. He did have one mishap, but that was because he was showing off. He got up and after he calmed down, he still rode the bike the to school to get his brothers. He's a tough cookie. Jontu hanging out on the playground toys at our neighborhood park. Jongr showing off his keychain that he made this summer at cub scout day camp. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Lost in TX - Paul.

Sunday, June 16, 2013. First full week of Summer Vacation. Saturday, June 1, 2013. Sandcastles and Summer Fun. The AIA sandcastle competition was this weekend in Galveston and we enjoyed the day at the beach and looking at the sand castles at the end of the competition. There were some pretty amazing creations. Jonli and I played in the water. Jonev enjoyed a day of digging and even got burried in this hole at the end of the day. One of our favorite sandcastles from the competition today, Downton Crabby.

Monday, May 13, 2013. It is hard to believe that our little jedi princess is now 3. We had fun celebrating her birthday starting on Friday with a small party with some of her friends. Saturday we took her to the toy store and she picked out some presents which she had to have wrapped and then waited to open until after dinner. Here she is with her brothers before opening the presents. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Jongr: spends his days reading as much as possible as normal. Jonev: is playing lots of age o...

Sunday, June 15, 2014. School's out for Summer. Another school year in the books. Jongr was promoted to 6th grade, Jontu promoted to 3rd grade and Jonev get to go to 1st grade next year. Jongr is leaving the elementary level and moves to the middle school. New friends, new teachers, new classes all on the other side of the street (the schools are all close to each other and close enough to walk from our house). There was a special 5th grade awards ceremony we attended. The next day Mama and Dad went on a...
