Thursday, September 10, 2009. High Sierra Trail Trip Recap. We ended the trip early because of sleet and lightning atop Mount Whitney the day we were climbing it. It was quite auspicious being 14,000 feet up sea level on the face of a mountain and hearing a thunder-crack in the midst of snow. We celebrated by going on a walk to Starbucks this morning with Mommy and Daddy. We are always a big hit wherever we go. Everyone has to come over to see us, and ooh and aah. Our first attraction was the Enchanted Tiki Room. We continued through Adventure Land to the Jungle Cruise. Then for a tour of the Rivers of America on the Columbia. We enjoyed some toe-tappin' jazz as we floated along. October 31, 2006: Our First Halloween! We dressed up as pumpkins once again to greet the trick or treaters.
