http://zhangxuanvikki.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 15, 2009. Honestly speaking, this presentation is the first one I have done here that talking for about 7 mimutes without looking at the notes. Our group has met 3 times totally to prepare this presentation which shows that we do take it seriously. So I really want to do it perfect for my part in order to make our group's total performance good, which I think I didn't make it. First of all, I stopped at some places which makes the whole speech not fluently. I have learned the diligence an...

ES2007S: Professional Communication: The Finale.....
http://shu-juan.blogspot.com/2009/04/finale.html
Tuesday, April 14, 2009. Haha I think Hui Xia knows what I mean. I also learned from Grace how to increase eye contact with the audience and how to add pauses in my speech to make a presentation more effective. Also, Brad actually makes it a point to ask each of us for our opinions and this makes everyone involved in discussions. This has really helped build up my confidence as he is always very supportive of my comments even if I’m not sure whether it sounds silly. April 14, 2009 at 8:37 AM. As for your...

http://janechanyw.blogspot.com/2009/04/its-wrap.html
Communication. an art? Sunday, April 12, 2009. Taking this module with very little expectation initially made this module an even bigger eye opener. Why you may ask? For always taking time to remind me of deadlines, and also helping me keep up with the workload. (:. Thank you for being encouraging all the time. I am especially thankful to Grace, Priya and Jingyang for reading through my Resume, to help me perfect it. Here’s a shout out to Grace! However, have I learnt just about everything of the 7Cs?

Communication... an art?: There's still hope!
http://janechanyw.blogspot.com/2009/03/theres-still-hope.html
Communication. an art? Sunday, March 15, 2009. I have always found that effective communication is something that is very difficult to do. First of all, it not only takes two people to listen to each other, but also for both parties to choose the right words and to say it at the appropriate time. 8221; My elder brother was shocked for words. Thinking that he could have heard wrongly he had asked her to repeat herself. Again, she went “Your cock want upsize”. After some quick think...As mentioned in my op...

ES2007s: January 2009
http://crackpot-es2007s.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 30, 2009. One of which I can remember very well is an incident that happened while i was on exchange. I was introduced to a guy S by my room mate. He appeared to be a very friendly person but a man of few words. A hug (common among my Srilankan friends), a formal handshake, a casual high five or a handshake along with cheek kisses (which is very common among Quebecois)? What do you think went wrong? How do you think I should tackle this situation? I also believe that this incident rose du...

ES2007s: My Oral Presentation
http://crackpot-es2007s.blogspot.com/2009/04/my-oral-presentation.html
Monday, April 13, 2009. From my point of view my performance was not at its best. Being a fourth year student I expected myself to have got over what people might call "stage fright". However, I realised when I stood up to present I did feel panicky even after practicing a couple of times beforehand. I am quite disappointed with this aspect of my presentation as I wanted to master the art of having a calm appearance during presentations. April 13, 2009 at 11:23 PM. April 14, 2009 at 2:18 AM. Actually I d...

Sunday, March 15, 2009. I would like to reflect on a personal experience to say why I think EFFECTIVE. During the time of the incident my father had retired from his work. Thus he was no longer the main provider of the family's income. Situation: It was the awarding ceremony for students to acknowledge their outstanding performance in extra curricular activities.(An event that was introduced in my final year in high school.). He didn't turn towards at me at all.I went on to talk and he completely ign...
