BIRDING NORTH BUCKS AND BEYOND. My Birding adventures and other nature observations around the Newport Pagnell and Olney areas of North Buckinghamshire, and occasionally further afield. Sunday, 25 May 2014. Some Birds from Catalonia. We're just back from our 2 weeks family holiday in the Costa Brava. Not primarily a birding trip but whenever I got the opportunity I would get out and explore the surrounding area. This would normally be in the couple of hours before breakfast before everyone else got up.

North Bucks Wildlife: Willen and CMK
http://northbuckswildlife.blogspot.com/2011/04/willen-and-cmk.html
This blog is about all forms of wildlife I record around North Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes in particular. My main interests for 2012 will be looking for anything I've not seen before. Tuesday, April 5. This lunchtime. From the hide 1 Green Sandpiper, 2 Common Tern, 1 Little Grebe, 1 Little Ringed Plover, 2 Oystercatchers. And a Willow Warbler in full song behind me. The South Lake held nothing of note. Other than Wood Pigeons a single singing Skylark was noted. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

BIRDING NORTH BUCKS AND BEYOND: March 2014

BIRDING NORTH BUCKS AND BEYOND. My Birding adventures and other nature observations around the Newport Pagnell and Olney areas of North Buckinghamshire, and occasionally further afield. Sunday, 23 March 2014. Honestly, I have been birding close to home but as usual it seems all the best birds seem to be on someone else's patch. I did find my first Wheatear of the year at Ravenstone on Friday but a Red-necked Grebe at Pitsford Reservoir lured me out of the county again. Tuesday, 11 March 2014. The feeding...

BIRDING NORTH BUCKS AND BEYOND. My Birding adventures and other nature observations around the Newport Pagnell and Olney areas of North Buckinghamshire, and occasionally further afield. Saturday, 24 August 2013. A couple of weeks back the Bedford RSPB group spent the day in Norfolk. We had decided to start the morning doing the boat trip from Morston Harbour out to the end of Blakeney Point to see the Terns and Seals. Sunday, 4 August 2013. OK so I've been slacking on the blog front. Owls about that then!

BIRDING NORTH BUCKS AND BEYOND: November 2013

BIRDING NORTH BUCKS AND BEYOND. My Birding adventures and other nature observations around the Newport Pagnell and Olney areas of North Buckinghamshire, and occasionally further afield. Sunday, 17 November 2013. A trip to Farmoor. Local birding has been pretty unrewarding lately. So this morning I decided to take a trip to Farmoor Reservoir near Oxford. On leaving the car park, around the water tower no less than three Kingfishers were using the railings as fishing perches. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

BIRDING NORTH BUCKS AND BEYOND: Summerleys Specials

BIRDING NORTH BUCKS AND BEYOND. My Birding adventures and other nature observations around the Newport Pagnell and Olney areas of North Buckinghamshire, and occasionally further afield. Tuesday, 11 March 2014. Summerleys Reserve in Northants seems to have some good birds lately and as I hadn't been for a while I thought I should pay a visit. On Mary's Lake the female Long-tailed Duck was found eventually but the male Bearded Tit that showed well the day before was keeping it's head down in the chilly wind.

BIRDING NORTH BUCKS AND BEYOND: September 2013
http://birdingnorthbucksandbeyondblogspot.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
BIRDING NORTH BUCKS AND BEYOND. My Birding adventures and other nature observations around the Newport Pagnell and Olney areas of North Buckinghamshire, and occasionally further afield. Friday, 20 September 2013. It's) Ruff at Olney. I stopped of at Olney Mill this lunchtime, just to have a look what was around while I ate my sandwiches. Other than an awful lot of Canada Geese there didn't seem to be much around. But then a small bird got up from the grass almost under my feet and landed a few yards away.

BIRDING NORTH BUCKS AND BEYOND. My Birding adventures and other nature observations around the Newport Pagnell and Olney areas of North Buckinghamshire, and occasionally further afield. Wednesday, 29 January 2014. I hadn't visited this site for a few years and I think it might be a few more before I go back. It is now known as Rushmere Country Park or something. The café is closed - not sure if permanent or just for the winter. But guess what, no Mandarins! The usual woodland birds are still plentiful th...
