February 05, 2010. I'm 38 weeks pregnant and my head and heart are swimming with emotions! Here is my fantasy. Here is my reality. I've had to change my Plan of Perfection. This is the way life goes, I know. We're preparing to bring baby home to Mom's new house in Auburn. Mom loves her new house and I'll have the best help in the world in those first few weeks of the unknown. So this is good! I couldn't ask for a sweeter, more helpful mom. She will be the best Nana. September 18, 2009. He grinned and said, "are you serious? I love that we were able to celebrate Michael's very first Father's Day, even if he was in a state of shock. This was a huge surprise! We've been through a lot since then. Now, at 18 weeks, the baby and I are both healthy and growing. Our ultrasound on September 16th gave us a little peek at what's going on inside my tummy. After many weeks of anticipation (I wasn't very patient) we found out, to my sheer delight, that we are having a girl!

March 29, 2010. Evie's 1st time in her (unfinished) nursery. I read a lot of books and talked to many people about having a baby during my pregnancy. I did my best to prepare knowing I would never be prepared for what was coming. I knew I would have to jump in and get my hands dirty (and oh, they are dirty). Here are a few things I've learned:. I have found that the feelings have far outlasted the actual memories. I can look at pictures and those feelings come rushing back.
