Novitiate Homesteader: May 2013
http://novitiatehomesteader.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 14, 2013. Hi there, I've started a second blog. It still deals with farming, but it is more focused on the therapeutic value of a farming/homesteading life. It is more directly concerned with mental illness and addiction. It is called, Farm Therapy. I think it is pretty cool. I'll continue to post in Novitiate Homesteader, especially items related to Christian spirituality and Homesteading skills. Thanks and I'll be in touch soon on both blogs. Wednesday, May 8, 2013. Novitiate Homesteader: January 2012
http://novitiatehomesteader.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 31, 2012. The cow has landed. Everything went smoothly until milking time. Milking a goat who is accustomed to you is different from milking a stressed cow. I guess the milking for Fancy went well enough. We didn’t get much milk, but we didn’t get kicked either. The fun started when we tried to finish chores…in the dark. Our chore list for the morning is pretty long, but I am starting to relax and feel more optimistic about it than I felt an hour ago. Wednesday, January 11, 2012. Who kno...

Novitiate Homesteader: November 2012

Tuesday, November 27, 2012. Better than I was. 8220;I’m not better than any of the rest of you, I'm just better than I was”. Being “broken” is part of the human condition. At least it is in my Catholic world view. Our brokenness is the reason behind Christ’s sacrifice. Being broken is part of our path to God. Grace is God’s gift to us. That we are loved even though we are broken. In fact, we are by God and frequently by others loved because of our brokenness. And, oh boy am I broken. It makes me who I am.

Novitiate Homesteader: October 2011
http://novitiatehomesteader.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 29, 2011. I was reading a blog yesterday that really shook up my way of thinking about my list. In the blog, SteadyMOM. Points out that the most important chore of the day is to provide a sense of peace in the home. When all is said and done, our children will not remember whether the dishes were always done or whether the goats got milked on time. They will, I hope, remember that our home was a place of peace. Attitude is everything. Blessings. Friday, October 28, 2011. Jenny’s r...

Novitiate Homesteader: July 2013
http://novitiatehomesteader.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 27, 2013. I posted these pictures so some fellow goatherds could help me with advice on what these bumps are. If you have any input I'd love to hear. I'm hearing that they may be plugged pores. Which would be a great relief. Thanks all. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Novitiate Homesteader: December 2011
http://novitiatehomesteader.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, December 24, 2011. From all of us here at Wandering Moose Farm, we wish you a very Merry Christmas. May this season find all of you blessed with all the love, happiness, and joy that you could wish for. Blessed be. Tuesday, December 20, 2011. Christmas is almost upon us. We will be taking a little break in Oregon. A few days with family and a few days away from the farm. As much as I love the daily chores, it is nice to get a break from milking the goats in the cold and dark. The Kingdom of God.

So coming up in the near future I might write some country parables called the Corn Patch Gospels or Corn Patch Parables, don’t know which one yet but it really don’t make much difference. Not like allot of people will ever read them but I think I’ll have some fun putting faith back nto a country perspective. I love story telling, am kinda good at it so why not I figure! Good Friday | Healing Waters Flow's Weblog
https://healingwatersflow.wordpress.com/2009/04/10/good-friday
Healing Waters Flow’s Weblog. That Old Time Faith. For 18 years now I’ve received the Christian Ranchman paper from Fort Worth, Texas. I’ve wrote about it many times here, either in posts or comments. That newspaper is so very special! I just love how it has stories and testimonies of regular farm and ranch folks who love Jesus! For 18 years that ministry was my favorite. Still is! On April 10, 2009 at 6:32 pm Comments (3). Feed for comments on this post. 3 Comments Leave a comment. That picture just doe...

Cattle Herd and Faith | Healing Waters Flow's Weblog
https://healingwatersflow.wordpress.com/2009/04/13/cattle-herd-and-faith
Healing Waters Flow’s Weblog. That Old Time Faith. Cattle Herd and Faith. My legs feel like they’re gonna fall off! Took out 3/4 mile of electric fence this afternoon, the fence that held the cows last fall down in the meadows, swamps, fields and brush. Saved me mucho hay bales doing that and I figured it was a good time to take it down today before the manure hits the fan around this place. So as of now everything on that 80 acres is good! There’s gonna be a network of new corrals built this summe...
