The phrase, “When you hear hoofbeats, think horses, not zebras”, is taught to medical students throughout their training. They are taught to assume to simplest answer is usually best, so as not to go around diagnosing patients with exotic illnesses that are highly unlikely. I have horrible writing skills, and I know it, but surely there are people out there who can proof read and help me with that, right?
