Gardenside: July 2010
http://mygardenside.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 25, 2010. Before you were born, I intended to write you a letter every month, but you came along and have wanted to spend so much time curled up with me that I never seemed to have time. And really, it seemed that you would always want to stay right by my side, so I didn’t even feel like the letters were necessary. But then independence started to happen. So I guess that I will try to be better about these monthly letters. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Wife, mother, bandit lover, dreamer.

Gardenside: August 2009
http://mygardenside.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 2, 2009. Put the needle to the yarn. For the past month, I was having a hard time believing in the second trimester transformation. The magical day when all of a sudden morning sickness would stop, energy would return at lightening speed, and maybe, just maybe, I'd want to eat yummy food again. But it's happening - I can feel it more and more every day. Exhibit A: Indian, Thai, and Ethiopian food all in a week. And an Everything bagel. The steam mop is amazing - no chemicals, just add wate...

Gardenside: September 2009
http://mygardenside.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 24, 2009. I've been trying to eat all the major food groups lately and it's much easier said than done. Stir frys are no longer that appetizing to me, so I've turned to pasta and sauce, usually mixing in some veggies from our CSA. My recent favorite has been lasagna. I've been making it in our slow cooker because I don't have to cook and wait when I'm already hungry for dinner. Here's how easy it is:. 1 Brown 1 lb ground turkey in a skillet (with or without onions). Face Shape: One ta...

Gardenside: The Waiting Game
http://mygardenside.blogspot.com/2010/02/waiting-game.html
Thursday, February 4, 2010. It's been awhile since my last post and I have some follow up thoughts to share, but not right now - maybe not for another month or so. Amy, I do remember you! And I'm glad you tracked me down somehow :-). Things I will never say to a nine month pregnant woman again: "Waiting to hear that you're in labor! Do you feel anything changing today? I think you'll go at least a week over, maybe two.". The answer is "yes.". Here are some pictures from the past couple weeks:. Aww, rose&...

Gardenside: Lenten Reflections
http://mygardenside.blogspot.com/2010/02/lenten-reflections.html
Wednesday, February 17, 2010. An old camp leader of mine posted a blog about Lent today and says this:. I love this working understanding of Lent: that when we step out of our routines, we become more vulnerable and more ready to receive grace, not just from God, but from others and even ourselves. Hopefully through that, we will be able to love more and clearly see what is around us. This year, I am not taking anything away but rather adding to my routine. I am drawing my inspiration from a teaching...

Life on Ferry Ave.: June 2010
http://cassiehaw.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Life on Ferry Ave. Our son, simon james haw, was born june 11, 2010 at 4:49am. he weighed 7lbs and 8oz and is gorgeous. it was a wild ride as we had planned a home birth with wonderful midwives. in the end though, i had to be induced because of mild preeclampsia. so i delivered at cooper hospital after 36 hours of labor! But it just doesn't matter because he's here! We have no idea what we're doing but simon has been patient with us. O men from the fields,. Tread softly, softly. O men coming in!
