http://crunchytown.blogspot.com/2013/05/busy-weekend-and-progress.html
Saturday, May 04, 2013. Busy weekend, and progress! I've been so busy lately! I'm getting the garden ready to plant, trying to keep my house presentable, entertaining a 3 year old all day, trying to keep my 6 and 8 year olds on track at school and with violin, and I've been cooking up a storm of healthy, nutritious, low-fat vegan meals. The progress I'm most proud of is my weight loss! I only have to lose 9 more pounds before I'm considered normal weight. I've been losing weight at a very steady pace of ...

http://crunchytown.blogspot.com/2013/05/canned-sweet-potatoes-are-evil-and.html
Wednesday, May 01, 2013. Canned Sweet Potatoes are Evil (and recipe review: Curried Cauliflower and Sweet Potato Soup). Several years ago, we had Thanksgiving dinner with a large group of people. Sweet potatoes have always been my favorite Thanksgiving offering as long as I can remember. I like them no frills: mashed with a little butter, salt and pepper. Well, I have had to make them vegan for the last few years so I can't use real. I should have known better. From Fat Free Vegan Kitchen. Uriah, my 3 ye...

http://crunchytown.blogspot.com/2013/05/vegan-at-potluck-and-my-first-recipe.html
Sunday, May 05, 2013. Vegan at a Potluck, and my first recipe! I've been vegan about 5 weeks now and today was one of the first social gatherings with non-family members hosting I've attended since starting to eat a vegan diet. I told her the recipe and she told her mom how easy it was to make. I hope she learns to make it- it's such a simple thing that is so delicious. I smelled the wonderful looking cheesecake bars and ate them through my nostrils. They tasted delicious! Amounts to 140 calories and 7 g...

crunchytown: October 2012
http://crunchytown.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 22, 2012. Yesterday I took a bite of chili with corn chips and I felt something hard. Oh my gosh, it's a chunk of tooth! What the heck happened here? Was it actually a piece of bone that I missed from the steak I made my chili out of? Or worse, was it a tooth chunk of an unfortunate tortilla chip worker? I found a piece of tooth in my food! Did you lose a bit of your tooth? I would have felt it! I didn't feel anything until I bit into this piece of tooth! How could this have happened?

Tuesday, April 24, 2012. A few of my toddler's favorite books. Ri all of a sudden started loving to have me read to him! I've been reading to him or at least *near* him since he was a baby. Sometimes I didn't read specifically to him, though. Now that he's turning into a big boy, he has his preferences and lets me know them! His current favorite book is Dinosaur Roar. By Paul Strickland. He always gets into this one! There is a slimy dinosaur in it, and he always says, "What the snow? Three Men and a Lady.

crunchytown: Rose's Birthday
http://crunchytown.blogspot.com/2013/05/roses-birthday.html
Thursday, May 30, 2013. Stay tuned for a birthday interview! I still need to do hers. On Rose's birthday, it happened to be a Friday, and we were invited to a Saturday morning wedding in Portland. So that meant we were going to stay overnight in Portland, and because I really did not want to take a huge present with a lot of parts (and lose those parts before we even got home), Rose got to open a present first thing in the morning. Yes, indeed, she is really good for a first grader. After a long drive, w...
