Markhor, Urial and Ibex. A WCS field survey team working in Bamyan Province came across a large natural arch in the Hindu Kush Mountains. Members of the team returned to the site and measured the span of the arch at 211 feet using NABS standards. Afghanistan's Newest National Park. Afghanistan's Government recently declared the remote district of Wakhan, Badakhshan as a national park. This is the country's second national park after Band-e-Amir which was established in 2009.
