Today is Shambe (Saturday) or Bazaar day. First time to meet with Afghan Army Colonel →. Ground Attack and Rocket Attacks. May 23, 2010. Last night Kandahar was under attack for at least a few hours. Multiple explosions and small arms fire were heard until approximately midnight. When I fell asleep at 1:20am, the alarm for ground attack was still sounding. I think it may have been a precaution and it was probably actually over hours earlier. My entire team is okay. Ground Attack and Rocket Attacks.
