Hooked in the Sound. Wednesday, June 22, 2011. I bought this pattern from Busy Mom Designs. On Etsy. It is a very simple shell-stitch pattern. I only had one skein of yarn in this lavender and it wasn't quite enough to give Parker's hat the floppy brim. It still works well to keep the sun out of her eyes. I began the sewing last night after the girls were in bed, around 8:30 and finished the buttonholes right before midnight - thank goodness for Spring Break! The one thing that bugs me a bit is seeing where the interfacing stops - I wish that I would have lined the whole dress. Nevertheless, it is really fun to see Brynn wearing and loving something that I MADE!

For Halloween this year. So, with the help of my mother-in-law, I made a costume for her. Luckily once the costume was finished, she was excited to try it on at home, because she sure did not want to wear it on Halloween night.
