9 months later… | Our Neck of the Woods

The Humeniuk adventures in The Woodlands. Our Neck of the Woods. 9 months later…. Wow So it has been almost 9 months exactly since I posted on here last. Things have been busy to say the least! Ellie has now been on the outside longer than she has been on the inside. We’ll see if I get back into this or not (yay being a mom and working full time), but for now I figured I’d give a little update on our family of three (and sprinkling in a few fun pictures). First day of Ellie’s life! She is tiny (in the 12...

PARENTS: “Should I force my teenager to attend church?” | the last fraud

Reflections on the gospel, ministry and life. PARENTS: “Should I force my teenager to attend church? Mdash; Leave a comment. April 21, 2011. A common questions that I get as a student pastor from parents is, Should I force my teenager to come to church if they do not want to attend? Explain why attending church is more than just fulfilling a religious duty, but that it is an integral part of our spiritual journey. It is no different with church. If attending church is something you do as a family, an...

Life on Purpose: July 2014
http://thepriours.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. 1Corinthians 10:31. That is life on purpose. Tuesday, July 22, 2014. But, right now, while there is light and life feels good - I am grateful, I rejoice, I enjoy and drink deep the blessings of God. And tomorrow - if the darkness returns - I will do the same because God's goodness will not be removed. I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give to each man according to his ways, according to the results of his deeds." Jeremiah 17: 7-10.

We Moved! |
https://caylahall.wordpress.com/2015/05/24/we-moved
I had a “we’re moving” post in the works but it never got finished because, well, we moved and I’ve been exhausted. It was a slow transition because we had to move most of our things out of our house before we actually moved out. We slept on the floor for a few days, I cooked food out of a cooler on a little hot plate, and we washed the dishes in a bucket in the shower. We are enjoying the new house though, especially when there is enough electricity to run the A/C! We already miss our neighbors though&#...

Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. 1Corinthians 10:31. That is life on purpose. Tuesday, June 25, 2013. Here are some glimpses of that love back in 2007 (the year we got married). March: "Good time praying this morning - Thanks Lord! Man, I have had that soaring, 'I'm in love! May: Who is Jeff? He's the kind of guy that still writes thank you notes for every gift that he receives. He will always open your door if you are female. He is easy to love and loves others easily. He isn't afraid to...

How to Shop from Home (without the internet). Entry three of the Stay-at-Home Mom series. I have told you that Jinny Malowa. Likes to be at home. I have also told you that it is common for her to go days without even leaving the house. She doesn’t even have to go out to shop! There are many reasons this can be so here, but my favorite is that we don’t have to go to the store because the stores come to us! On such an errand by an old lady down the street). What she needed, but at least she didn’t ha...

Neighborhood Kids |
https://caylahall.wordpress.com/2015/03/11/neighborhood-kids
Having a yard is not really a thing here. The most any house has is a small garden or patch of grass within the front gates. This causes for a lot of overspill into the streets, especially the big kids who need some space to run around, kick a ball or ride their bikes. Jack thinks he is one of these kids. Every time he sees them out there or even just hears them, he begs and cries go down and play. Matt took him down a couple days ago and got some really great pics…. View all posts by Cayla →.
