A Key For Every Door: June 2011
http://keyforeverydoor.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
A Key For Every Door. Thursday, June 30, 2011. Bars, Dogs, and Baseball. Sorry to all six of you "followers" out there (Hi Mom! For being MIA for the last week or so. I will try and do better. I'd hate to keep everyone on the edge of their seats for too long. I know you are anxiously awaiting my next post on a random piece of orange furniture, large weeds I find, or the fact that I now run like a lifelong smoker. (That's getting better by the way! Since South Carolina was playing in the College World Ser...

A Key For Every Door. Monday, July 11, 2011. Cause I'm Fresh in My White Tee". Step on the scene with some green and some hard white work. Real clean fresh jeans and a all white shirt". Is that song in your head now too? Well the point of this post isn't just to share the musical genius of Crime Mom with you, but if you go around singing "yep, in my white tee," for the rest of the night I'll consider that a perk. Photo courtesy of jcrew. How gorgeous is Lauren Hutton? My apologies for featuring a "celebr...

A Key For Every Door. Thursday, September 29, 2011. I Have. A. Problem. Oh happy day, look what I found at Target! Seriously. How could I not buy these? AND I saw a recipe for pumpkin cornbread, yes you. Read that right, PUMPKIN CORNBREAD. I think i'll be making that and pumpkin maple cookies for the game this weekend. Football and pumpkin go so well together plus pumpkins are orange so it just fits. I'm off to find some pumpkin beer. An intervention may be necessary. But not until January.

A Key For Every Door. Sunday, September 22, 2013. 100 Days in KSA: Days 95 - 93. The Pork Section at a Grocery Store in Bahrain. I've mentioned before that the religious laws are a little less strict in Bahrain and we sometimes like to take advantage of our trips across the causeway by indulging in some of the things that we don't have access to in Saudi because they are considered Ḥarām (sinful) in the religion of Islam and Saudi operates under Islamic law. A Key For Every Door. Tuesday, September 17, 2013. 100 Days in KSA: Days 100 - 97. On a whim, I started a little project on Instagram where I try and post a photo that captures some part of our life everyday for the last 100 days we are overseas. I've been hashtagging (is that a word now? These snapshots #100daysinKSA (KSA = Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) and I thought I might also share these photos on the long neglected blog with a little more explanation. A tree outside our house. A Key For Every Door. Wednesday, September 18, 2013. 100 Days in KSA: Day 96. The King Fahd Causeway. Oh the causeway. How to explain the causeway? Since the Kingdom of Bahrain is an island, getting there involves crossing the King Fahd Causeway. The causeway is a series of bridges connecting the two kingdoms with a small island in the center where you drive through a series of immigration and customs booths. Sounds pretty simple right? Cheers and safe driving! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Registr...

A Key For Every Door. Saturday, January 26, 2013. That I live in the Middle East. And then I remembered when I popped open the ice cold can in my coozie and it was Diet Coke instead of Miller Lite and then, of course, there is the barbed wire. Can you spot it? By the Nile I find him once again. Egypt shines with the fires of his dawn; His imperial orb rises in the Orient.
A First World Girl | such a plague put upon us
A First World Girl. Such a plague put upon us. I cannot wait here any longer. I cannot see the light. You took my hand. You broke my heart. I grappled with the loss. Of you and me. I read the books. I tore out the pages of how. You and I began. You and me, we swam. In the cool abyss. You say horrible things. 8220;Why did I marry you? Though I know you love her madly. Still after all these years. Bad Late Night Poetry. Blush in every language, falter in every hue. Occasional offender of the hidden light.
