A real toad strangling gulley washer. Everybody and his brother was in town too. Kinda wished I had some safety glasses trying to avoid getting poked in the eye by an umbrella tine. When does it ever snow in Georgia twice within a 2 week time period, just barely into winter? And not just a dusting, but plenty for sliding and fighting and building a snowman. Visitation last night and funeral today. Good gracious, I'm gonna miss you, Hubert. Still can't really believe that you're really gone. Two weekends, maybe? How hard could laying pavers and block be? Another run to the store for sand and finally, I'm covered. Random notes about the exciting and mundane(and sometimes insane). Saturday, May 29, 2010. Sicily and the Tyrrhenian Sea. Day 3 - May 13. Loads of citrus and olive trees, and many others here. Even a 500 year old olive tree! Still hard to believe that anything can produce in such a harsh environment, but they had the largest lemons I'd ever seen - the size of a grapefruit! Tried to imagine hiking up that hill every Sunday morn. Couldn't do it in heels, that's for sure. But the worship experience ...Next ...

My best friend for several weekends - good ol' mattock. Part of my meager crew. I told him to help me dig.and sure enough, he walked over and started digging. Not really where I needed digging, but I appreciated the effort anyway! Landscape fabric - great for when it rained to keep the mud down between weekends, and muddy paw prints off my deck.
