TRAVEL DIARY: GOREE ISLAND, SENEGAL. Welcome to Goree Island! Of course I had to visit the Island while in Senegal. It was actually one of the main reasons why I wanted to visit Senegal as an adult. Let me just say that this place is amazing! It's filled with so much history that'll definitely change your life. You can read all about it in books and online, but nothing compares to physically being there to experience it. Enjoy some of the photos I snapped while there :-). Goree of Castel Memorial site.

Africa Today and Tomorrow. Friday, 12 September 2014. I tried to clear the phantoms from my mind. Grasp the painful acceptance of reality. That i would never see or feel your aura again. My spirit would not let go. Oceans would never stop me. I long to feel your warmth again. My feet firmly planted on you. Breathing in the air of mystery and genesis. I awaken to your magnetic pull.
