Matt's African Adventure: March 2011
http://cleverleydoesit.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 15 March 2011. The month of February saw a three week period that was without a doubt the most demanding I have experienced during my time at CCF. I have never known a series of events like it and sadly the outcome has seen us loose two of our cats. To cut a very long story short these three weeks included the following:. Three cats in three separate pens going missing requiring pens to be searched on foot. Two cats with swollen ankles requiring isolation and medication. The collection of the bo...

Saturday, 7 January 2012. Suarez vs Evra: A Modern Day Witch Hunt. I wrote a blog in September last year about the depressing rise in people who believe the utter nonsense that the 9/11 attacks were orchestrated by some sort of government conspiracy. 8220;There HAS to be some truth if so many believe it”. BOOM and so it begins. Racism is the big topic of choice and all eyes of the media fall on not the England captain but Luis Suarez. You know, " the weasel faced, hand balling cheat of the world ...Even ...

Friday, 18 November 2011. Nestle: Born and Died a Free Cat. We received the sad news from Erindi Game Reserve two days ago that Nestle, one of the chocolate sisters we helped release into Erindi was found dead. As of yet the cause of death is unknown, although as a wild cheetah there are numerous possibilities. She could have been killed by lions, snake bite, illness or sustained a fatal injury whilst hunting. During observation of the coalition in Bellebenno it appeared that Nestle was the ‘lowest...

Thursday, 9 June 2011. The N/a'an Ku Se Chapter Begins. I knew I was well and truly back into my strange and wonderful African lifestyle when on my first day back in Namibia I found myself watching a Harry Potter movie with a baboon. We will of course have volunteers with us and in order to keep them busy we will also be doing game counts, camera trap...

Monday, 28 May 2012. Matt's American Adventure: Washington DC. Thursday, 25 November 2010. The Bellebenno Release, Part 3: Natural Born Killers. Well I am sat writing this blog entry 79 days after Chanel made her first kill and since then the girls have been on what can only be described as a killing rampage! The total to date consists of:. 5 Oryx, 2 Warthog, 3 Kudu, 4 Steenbok, 4 Duiker, 1 Scrub Hare, 3 Red Hartebeest and 29 Eland calves. Warthogs are tough opponents and the girls do not go after them that often. When this project first got under way our biggest fe...
