November | 2009 | Ida's Africa
https://africanaglojo.wordpress.com/2009/11
Archive for November, 2009 Monthly archive page. On November 25, 2009. So, after weeks of no’s and hell no’s…. here I am in Kingston, Jamaica…. watching ‘Precious.’. The movie… not so nice. Now, as a journalist, I do try to be impartial. But unfortunately, Lee Daniels decided that he wanted to have an interview published in the NY Times, and obliged to a photography ‘sitting’ (literally) in Vanity Fair… and it went all downhill from there for me. Day 2 Jamaica: Have some delicious… Cow Feet? | Ida's Africa

Day 2 Jamaica: Have some delicious… Cow Feet? On January 7, 2010. I spent most of today inside resting after yesterdays ordeal. I ate, slept… not really, I was mostly on Facebook, stalking people through photos. We didn’t have running water today, which was interesting. I literally had to have a chat with my bowels…”Look, let’s limit your activity today. Ok? Otherwise, this is about to get pretty awkward.”. Had Saltfish fritters as an appetizer. On point. Trying to be Travel Channel, ya dig? 8230;we came...

https://africanaglojo.wordpress.com/2010/01/09/day-3-and-4-of-jamaica-in-pics
Day 3 and 4 of Jamaica in Pics. On January 9, 2010. I decided to post my experiences from the past few Jamaican days in pictures. Partly because its early, and I’m still sleepy, ie. lazy. Partly because everyone likes pictures…. mostly everyone. So here’s part of day 3 in pics… with the rest of the pics on the way. Stay tuned. Our morning started with the finding of a lizzard in the bed. and subsequently the lizzard's tail. Pretty scenery, seen from a Jamaican strip mall. Ready for this food! Day 2 Jamai...

A “N*gga” Moment. On December 12, 2009. I just had what I will now deem as my first “NIGGA! 8221; (*niggers) moment of the school year. So, yesterday, after my journalism class had ended, I decided to venture out into the cold abyss that is New York, to a bar across the street from my school. (Literally across the street, I found out, and yet I somehow managed to get lost.). Because they took everything I said seriously, which makes me feel incredibly empowered, lmao. 8230; I was drankin!

When I tire of NYC, I post Pics. On February 11, 2010. Life is a bitch… but I’m her pimp. Therefore, I’m posting up pics of happier times. Times when I didn’t have to jump over 5 ft. wide ice puddles. Times when my hands could give a damn about some gloves. Times when I was surrounded by black people. That’s right. Jamaican times. Soon to be Kenyan/Ghanain/Mali (? Enjoy and be jealous. I’m jealous too, and they’re my pics.*. A beach and a man on a beach. Oh look, a black guy. A beautiful black girl.
