Naatema Akati Kaarara - A Runyankore Poem. I had almost forgotten the lines of these legendary poems we used to do (recite). Okuhingira big-fat in December. On Fri 20th Dec 2013, we were at Nkoma in Sembabule district, at the home of Mr. Martin Namanya, the husband to my aunt Jane Kabusiiri. It was the give-away ceremony (Okuhingira) for cousin Winnie Abaho. This was the second give-away ceremony in the family, this year the first was for my ucnle's daughter (Nyabukazi Agather) earlier in the year.
