June 9, 2014. Ok, here’s the final word on Geneva. The panorama is beautiful. Best on the trip. The view is from the bell tower of Geneva’ s cathedral, which itself is on a hill. Then there’s the airport. Approaching Newark, we flew South down the Hudson River Valley. Very scenic. The approach to Newark was South past the west side of Manhattan. Splurged on a four star hotel for our last night: bellmen, room service, minibar, free wifi, 60 inch Tv!

Sunday, Lausanne to Geneva. June 6, 2014. Part of the trip for me is the travel, so let me comment on our return. We travelled on United and had good experiences both going and coming. Flights were on time and staff was helpful. Coming back early on Monday was an excellent choice as the flight from Geneva was not full and we were able to each have our own row! May 30, 2014. Here we are sitting at a cute little sidewalk cafe in Evion, France, sipping our cappucino and waiting for our breakfast crepes. Fabulous. Ryan got a breakfast crepe. France for a day →. May 30, 2014. OK, this town still has a “nightwatchman.” Really. He comes out on the Cathedral Tower hourly from 10 pm to 2 am to shout out that all is well. We walked over tonight to listen. The cathedral is 5 minutes from our hotel. We waited. We listened. And we heard. All is well.
