Always ready to explore, where are we off to now? Thursday, April 14, 2016. A visit with the Bacons. Some how Miss Millie got right up on the galley counter top. Hmm who has who charmed here? I believe she has commandeered the ship. Even had Jeff taking a shine to her. One day we went for a lovely morning walk on the beach. Jeff and Sandy were puppy sitting these two cuties. Millie was back at the camper getting her beauty sleep. Speaking of beauties, crazy posing beauties. Free running on the beach!

So Mike was sweet and picked out all the boards that would work and then cut up the other boards so that they could be picked up by our garbage man. I then borrowed a power washer from my brother and got to work cleaning up these boards. Whew did it make a big mess, but once we were finished the boards turned out to be in better shape than I had expected. 160;Woke up...

During our walk this evening we heard from our realtor and the offer we put in on a house down here was accepted. We will soon be North Carolinians! It's been a couple of weeks since I last made a post and now that I have a little down time I thought I would get things up to date. We are currently sitting in a hotel in Wyethville, VA with my brother Gary, his wife Christy and Zach. But I am getting ahead of myself. The grandsons were playing while Amanda while the other adults were packing. These two were so well behaved. Just love these little stinkers. Someone in Papa's chair.

Always ready to explore, where are we off to now? Wednesday, September 21, 2016. Dining Room Table Top. We have lived here in New Bern now for a total of 2 months as of today. Woo hoo! This table was going into an architects office. It was spectacular wood from and 1890's cotton mill. They do a lot of restoration work. Just stacks and stacks of reclaimed lumber. Pieces of this will hopefully turn into our dining room table. Someone seriously did not want to leave this place. Couldn't much blame him.
