Saturday, February 21, 2015. Tulips and Tamales. . . and Beer! Ron M and I drove up to Afton this morning to check on things there since I've been closed for the winter. Betty and Robin met us there, and they came bearing gifts! My birthday is next week, and despite a person of my advanced age not really wanting to be reminded, I truly appreciated their gifts. Betty brought a lovely boquet of spring tulips - pink, of course. Robin came up with something I've never seen before - a 6-pack of Route 66 beer!

Saturday, May 9, 2015. There's an awful lot of rain here in northeastern Oklahoma today. It's nothing compared to what Oklahoma City got yesterday, when they accumulated 10 inches in one day. Even so, it's been wet for most of the day with occasional breaks in the cloud cover which made it possible for travelers to enjoy their convertibles and motorcycles for a little while at least. A couple from St. Louis driving a '71 Chevelle Malibu convertible with the top down when they arrived at Afton Station...

Fun madness, beginning with the above named group that arrived soon after we opened - eight senior gentlemen in a van, all very excited about having a look at some of our gorgeous restorations. Friday, December 26, 2014. We took a little ride around Tulsa on Christmas Eve just to see the lights. Here are a few of the pretty scenes we saw. Downtown at Guthrie Green. Om jag hade mer pengar skulle jag nog ha mer varierad kost med lite dyrare råvaror. Dock kan man få väldigt fin mat till ett bra pris men då krävs det helt enkelt lite mera jobb. Jag skulle också vilja ha en en bättre elektriker. Som kan komma och kolla på mina uttag för nu sprakar det och härjar som fan ur vissa. Det känns lite läskigt tycker jag.
