The midstream energy industry acts as a critical link between the production and consumption of hydrocarbons, and has been the primary provider of services that ensure the nation's. Depending on the components of the gas we handle, we will process the raw natural gas by removing the water and separating the natural gas liquids (NGLs) from the dry natural gas. Pipeline Purpose and Reliability. Agave Energy Company (AEC) is a mid-stream natural gas pipeline operator based in Artesia, New Mexico. We operate over 2000 miles of pipeline in New Mexico, Colorado, and Wyoming. The majority of these pipelines are operated for natural gas gathering purposes. In addition, AEC operates several intrastate natural gas and natural gas liquid (NGL’s) transmission pipelines. Our areas of operation in New Mexico are Eddy, Lea, and Chaves Counties.

Agave Energy Company Announces a New, Aggressive Mid-stream Operation to Serve the Delaware / Bone Spring / Avalon Shale play in Southeast New Mexico and portions of West Texas. Recognizing a Pipeline Emergency. Natural gas or NGL vapors detected inside or near your home. Fire located near or directly involving our pipeline facility. Any indication of a natural gas leak such as blowing gas, vapor clouds or bubbles escaping from standing water near a pipeline right-of-way. By sight: A vapor cloud over a gas pipeline, dirt blowing up from the ground, discolored ground or vegetation near a pipeline, bubbles coming up from standing water near a pipeline may be signs of a gas leak.
