NADPO is trying to ensure the rights of PWDs in Bangladesh. 1 Reserve a position in the every political party’s central committee for a PWD. 2 Ensure the government signature in UN Convention document. 3 Request the plitical parties to demand to the government for reserving 15 sit in the National Parliament for PWDs. 4 Include the Disability issue in the election manifesto of all political parties. Agent of Change for Human Rights and Disability. Tuesday, July 11, 2006. PWDs situation in Bangladesh. The Government of Bangladesh is providing a stipend to the PWDs monthly. I practically know this. It is true. I also get information about this from my friend Sawalak of APCD. She sent me a copy of the article which was posted by CSID. I hope you all know about it. But the PWDs never wanted this type of stipend. They are crying for equal rights and opportunities. This should be stopped immediately.
