TURNING PAIN INTO PERFORMANCE. Aaron Runs a Half Marathon: Part 1. Aaron Runs a Half Marathon: Part 1. January 26, 2012. It was cool watching my body change and adapt. When I first started running, I would be out of breath and tired quickly. After a few months, I could carry on a full conversation while doing a 10 mile run. I think I started running again, 2 or 3 weeks before the half marathon. I did a 3 miler to ease back into it and at the end I felt horrible. Like I just ran 20miles.

Foam roll the IT band and the hip adductors. Foam rolling will. After foam rolling the muscles, you want to stretch them out. This will allow them return back to their proper length.
