Where the nodding violets grow: Wonderwool 2012
http://wherethenoddingvioletsgrow.blogspot.com/2012/04/wonderwool-2012.html
Monday, 30 April 2012. Yes, I attended Wonderwool Wales 2012. I have now thawed out enough to tell you about it. I went last year for one day but decided to stay over with a friend and attend both days. It has to be said that the weather was atrocious. It was cold the first day and cold and wet the second. It didn't, of course, stop me buying things! The show was fantastic. I love it here. It is so friendly and, well, woolly. I am able to share some photos of the things I spent my 'running away' money on!

Where the nodding violets grow: October 2013
http://wherethenoddingvioletsgrow.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, 3 October 2013. Here is my latest test knit. It was quite a windy day when these photos were taken but there was sunshine so we seized the opportunity. This is the Moxie Pullover. It is by Amy at Savory Knitting. This pullover is worked from the top down. It is knitted in the round with no seaming. Yay! It was a quick knit with worsted yarn. The pattern was very clear and well written. My daughter has already put in an order for another! Where the nodding violets grow. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Knitting up the ravelled sleeve of care. February and March in numbers →. March 30, 2015. I’ve been AWOL again, sorry. There has been crafting, though of the five WIPs I wrote about in my last post I’ve only finished one, the Bobbie gloves:. I haven’t actually worn them that much, as the colour doesn’t really go with the maroon parka I’ve been wearing most days, though they look great with my green coat. Which is currently blocking on the living room floor and is gorgeous. They looked, and I looked at al...

Saturday, 21 May 2011. My son asked for a chocolate cake with chocolate eggs on top for his birthday. In hindsight, he may have meant mini eggs! I had to stick the cream eggs on with melted chocolate because they kept sliding off when I tried it with buttercream. I like to think that it tasted a lot better than it looked! Here is his real, shop bought cake. Now, doesn't that look nice. Where the nodding violets grow. Friday, 20 May 2011. We were really lucky with the weather and it was a great day. I man...

knitknotnat: September 2011
http://knitknotnat.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Friday, 30 September 2011. I can't quite remember where I first saw Amy Swenson's Watershed. But I liked it the instant I saw it and wanted to knit one for myself. That was back in July 2010. It stayed at the top of my Ravelry queue for over a year until I finally cast on in early August this year. I didn't make things any easier for myself by substituting the recommended worsted weight yarn with DK weight Bendigo Woollen Mills. Saturday, 10 September 2011. We used this basic recipe. Replacing the bluebe...
